Cavs vs CELTICS Victory Cigar.

Post#1 » by Celtics_Champs » Sat Mar 7, 2009 3:44 am

What a game. That Big Baby ejection really lit a fire under Ray, and the team just went off on the offensive side.

Pierce with a huge game. But I have got to give this one to Leon Powe. Way to step up with the absence of KG.

I put BB in there, even though he was ejected.

I have to do it yet again. The victory cigar goes to Pierce. The human victory cigar goes to J.R. Giddens. The anti-victory cigar goes to Joebiscuit.

Powe -- 9-11, and needed because three other SFs were unavailable.
Pierce -- big numbers, created some of Powe's numbers, and defended LeBron.

Pierce probably deserved it more, but I voted Powe to create some variety.

Without KG, Tony, Scal and Davis in the second half and we DOMINATED them!

Hats off to our bigs for amazing performance and to PP!

Full strength I have full confidence that we will beat anybody anywhere!

My cigar goes to Leon!

Powe was HUGE tonight. He finished inside with authority, and dominated the taller Cleveland bigs. Powe is the man!

The Truth was absolutely brilliant tonight - BRILLIANT. Sorry Jammer, you were dead wrong with your premature half time comment. 29 points on 50% shooting and every pass the right pass, and fantastic D on the overrated Bron. Paul Pierce won this game tonight, and anyone voting for anyone else (including Leon - who was unusually excellent tonight) has lost their minds. Just because Paul is brilliant most of the time does not mean that he should not receive the cigar most of the time. This is not a frigging pity party and a demonstration of diversity. This is about consistent excellence = the Truth.
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

Not to take anything away from the Captain who was a force in the most crooked ass **** of game I think I have ever seen. But the voting should be amended so there is a Leon Baby option. Leon was a total beast but Baby put it on the line tonight he was awesome tonight and set a frigging tone. I just think of Insatiable's face every time he drains one. There was at least 3 times in this game that I totally expected Leon to lay one on someone jaw, he has a right to sue.

The big little fella outta negotiate a contract tonight.

Powe was a force tonight but he wouldn't have scored half his points if it wasn't for Pierce. The Captain gets my vote.

Could be Pierce almost every night, but this cigar belongs to the spark off the bench. The C's could have faded when Baby was ejected, but Powe stepped up big.

Finally an easy. clear choice.

Paul Pierce.

His D on LeBron is phenomenal.

The 29 points, 9 assists, and 4 rebounds were a bonus.

I think the voters who gave Leon the nod tonight are what
gives me a headache about Celtic fans.

C'mon,

I gave the C to the Captain too, but people showing some love for Leon are doing the right thing, he was Karl freaking Malone last night.
Celtics fans don't give me headaches.

Not to take anything away from the C's bigs, but Paul Pierce was the man last night. Took over the second half of the game and to be quite honest dominated James last night.

Paul was great last night, but let's be real, we've come to expect that from him. He's a great player and stepped up, but Leon stepped up to the occasion even more. 20 & 11 in 26 minutes is going to get KG a lot more rest down the stretch.

The ref that gave Lebron a technical and then a personal foul deserves a shout out too.
