The Packers also have expressed interest in defensive end Kevin Carter, an unrestricted free agent from Tampa Bay who is coming off his 14th season. A source said the interest was mutual.
Carter, 35, started at left end in a 4-3 defense. At 6-5½ and 305, he has the size to play end in a 3-4 and the flexibility to play tackle on passing downs. Plus, he has been a strong mentor for young players

Re: DE Kevin Carter
And DB made a big deal about Holiday being 33. Well Carter ain't 27.
Clearly NOT a building for the future move.
Guess Carter comes cheaper than Vonnie.
As for me - if he comes for minimum and can be effective spot player and teach Malone - then cool I suppose.
