No offense, but this'un is "asked-and-answered." Try checking down a few pages. There are a couple of threads already on your very question.

I find it hard to believe the Hawks can get such a great deal with Smith as a centerpiece of it. The Suns would never do it.

If Phoenix decides to trade Amare it will most likely be to a team with cap space for picks. Other than that he only has 2 years left on his deal so anything that returns salary won't help much with luxury tax concerns in 2010 and after that they have so much salary coming off the books that Amare's salary won't matter.

Smith has 4 years left on his deal and until he gets his head straightened it's a bad contract. I expect a bunch of threads of dream trades before reality of the situation sits in. With a threatening economy, long contract, slumping play, and questionable attitude the suitor are going to be in short supply. If he must go, then it will likely be for an expiring deal package from one of the few teams that is a buyer in this market.

A more realistic trade with Phoenix would be Josh Smith for Robin Lopez, Jared Dudley and Leandro Barbosa.

I don't see Phoenix accepting and theres no reason for them to include any draft picks.

I'm not opposed to a deal like that. Robin Lopez would allow for movement of Al to the 4. Jared Dudley is a hard working bench guy and Barbosa would make for an interesting PG to platoon with Flip. We'd still need to resolve our back up big man situation whether it be resigning Zaza or reaching out to a free agent.

Barbosa/Flip/Acie
Joe/Mo Evans
Marvin/Jared
Al/Othello Hunter
Robin Lopez

Still doubt it would happen, but I'm not opposed.

I wouldn't be surprised if Phoenix did this, actually. Smith would play a similar role as Matrix did there, and they did well in that system. I know a lot of that was D'Antoni, but they've been playing a similar up-tempo system since Porter was let go. The only problem would be that Phoenix would be paper-thin at the power-forward position...

Would you guys be interested in acquiring SHAQ to dump Smith's salary? If so, in the summer, you can do a Shaq for Smith + Speedy. If not, there's other scenario's that work.

Something like that works for all teams, I think.

Hawks:

Law/Flip/Barbosa
JJ/Barbosa/Flip
Williams/Evans
Collison/Williams/Randolph
Horford/Zaza/Randolph

Suns:

Nash/Watson/Dragic
J-Rich/Chucky/Tucker
Hill/Dudley/Tucker
Smith/Lou/DJ
STAT/Lopez/Lou

OKC:
Russell/backup
Wilkins/Weaver/Sefolosha
Durant/Sefolosha
Green/Kristic
Shaq/Kristic
