3/7 Detroit @ Atlanta

Post#1 » by ATL DirtyBird » Sat Mar 7, 2009 6:38 pm

HUGE GAME! Pistons are playing great basketball now a days and the Hawks are playing anything but good. Once again we need to come off this lost and play inspired basketball. GO HAWKS! :D

I hope that Woodson gives Smith a chance to reedem himself tonight.

The Hawks should have their balls cut off if they come out and lay an egg this game. I can't think of a better game during a time of adversity than this one. This is basically a playoff game(if the Hawks want the 4th seed) in March IMO.

Josh Smith will start tonight.

We can't continue to expect to play strong with him out, so I hope goes back to the old Josh, and learns some respect. I also hope the fans boo him tonight so he can remember where he came from. If I'm his Dad I stay home until Josh changes his ways.

Detroit are on a four game win streak and three of the teams they beat are playoff bound.

I'm kind of disgusted right now and not sure that I'm going to drive down to watch the game. I'll still watch on TV, but the added effort of going down there, concessions, etc. doesn't sound like fun night right now.

BTW, I have conflicts coming up with my Duke roots, my ticket (singular) is up for grabs for the games 13th (Indiana), 15th (Portland), and 19th (Dallas). Email me at REMOVED and it is first come, first serve. In each case, I'd be emailing you the ticket, so no parking pass. Too late for tonight as I won't be at the computer to mail the ticket.

It's a good seat by the way, ironically near some of Josh Smith's family.

Dallas is gone. Portland and Indy are still available.

I like Woodson resting Joe already. The man needs a break

I really hope A.I. comes back soon to neutralize the Detroit momentum on the season.

^^^ They say hell be a bench player when he comes back. Dont you think theyll be better with him off the bench? I think they could be dangerous with him as the 6th man

The Hawks are moving the ball better but are just struggling to finish inside.

No, I don't believe he can be a good soldier yet and fit into a system. It's hard for an old dog to realize he needs to learn new tricks let alone learn them. Whenever he's on the floor I expect ball movement to stagnate. I think they'll be better than they were earlier this season by limiting his minutes, but I honestly believe they are better off without him in uniform.

Joe is playing like garbage. Why is the offense still running through especially when Al was playing amazing early on. I Dont understand this team.

I wonder how many airballs it will take for Josh to realize he is a terrible shooter

Marvin and Joe need to get going for us to win. They only have a combined 11 points at this point.

Smith has 15/10 with 4 blocks and has made all 5 of his foul shots. maybe Woody should jump down his throat more often.
