I think the theme should be that you shouldn't fire your coach if you are going to hire someone just as unqualified. Milwaukee and Charlotte fired their coaches 2 years ago but hired equally bad coaches to replace them. Both teams are now overachieving that they went out and hired proven winners. I don't think D'antoni is the offensive genius he's made out to be but he's clearly a much better coach than Isiah was when you consider that he turned the Knicks top 4 scorers last year (Curry,Randolph, Crawford, and Marbury)into Al Harrington and Tim Thomas and made them a significantly better team.
I'm not a Woodson supporter but just getting rid of him and replacing him with a random assist(let's say Larry Drew)is unlikely to work. The ASG shouldn't even waste their time firing Woodson unless they are going to open their pocket books and go after some one like Van Gundy or Saunders.

With respect to all, Mike Woodson is NOT going to be fired during the season, and you're wasting your time discussing it.

I couldn't find the article but on ESPN radio Friday they were discussing a study that said the W/L swing of the best to worst coach is 5 games. It's really a players league.
BTW, with 1 year left on his deal and a possible lockout coming after that, there is no way the ASG fire Woodson and pay 2 coaches at the same time. It just doesn't make economical sense regardless of what anyone thinks of his coaching.
