Yes, I remember, but it's never the case. My Atlanta Braves kept losing one-run games early in the 2008 season and everyone kept saying "Oh, well, it's gotta even out SOMEtime, right?!" Just expecting it to change around because it's theorized that that's the "law" will not make it so. In the NBA, with 19 games left and being 3 or 4 games back, you do NOT wait for it to "turn around" and even out.

And RS, Amare WOULD make a big difference on this team, solely for his propensity to get and-one opportunities and for his pick n' roll ability with Nash. Nash has no one to PnR with.

the only thing we can look forward to is having one of the top picks in the first round if there's anybody descent ; hopefully kerr doesn't pick another scrub or draft and trade away a potential allstar

I wonder if Swift might be a possibility to PnR with Nash?

Only if he plays.

Wish my league pass broadband would kick in. It looked like there was a lot of body contact that was not called when Swift tried to drive on Bonner. Would like to review it.

Could anyone who recorded the game share their thoughts on this play?

And well you're at it, anyone who recorded the game and has the technology, could you make a video of Tony Parker's step routine late in the fourth? I watched it a few times over, and it was disgusting. That needs to be posted to YouTube!

I laugh at those people blaming bringing Shaq into the game for this loss. How about Nash refusing to pass the ball in the 4th quarter? How about Nash turning the ball over repeatedly? Honestly, Shaq played Duncan about even on points. I know Duncan outrebounded him (about 10 by going over the back, which would have been a foul if Shaq had done it), but once again, our guards and forwards got torched. I distinctly remember one play where Nash refused to rotate to the 3pt line where his man was camped, leaving Shaq to try to close out on him, resulting in a 3. On that play, basically, Nash stayed in the paint to defend Kurt Thomas and pushed Shaq out to close out on the shooter. When will people wake up and see that Nash is garbage??????

Not to mention that at one point in the game, the Spurs had shot 23 FT's and the Suns---a whopping 4!!!!! Same crap, different season.

Nash had 3 TO's (one of those was clearly Barnes' fault, as I remember), not what I'd call "turning the ball over repeatedly." Parker had 6 (six) TO's, btw

And he was getting raped on one of them as well, if I remember correctly.

There was definitly a lot of contact but I'm not sure if a foul had to be called on the play. At first I thought there was a foul but I didn't get to see the replay so I don't know...

One thing is for sure, Stro had to drive to get himself in a scoring position and forced his shot. That's what happens when you don't get any touches. I was pissed that Swift only played 4 minutes in the game, I was pumped to get the chance to see him on national TV. At least Amundson did a good job hustling while he was on the floor.

I think we need to have Swift and Amundson on the floor together to see what they generate - both of them are in there fighting for every board. We need to see if Nash/LB/Dragic can get anything going with Swift

I'm not saying tank or anything, just focus a bit more on what we have going ahead. 19 games to play the whole team and start thinking about where we go, and who comes along.

If we are going to run full-tilt everyone will need to play - nash, Hill Shaq can't be expected to run like that. I do like that Gentry is using the bench but he's in a tough spot trying to make a playoff run

well I was at the game. I got myself some $135 lower level half court tickets. they were great & so was the game. just though PHX lacked the intensity we've seen before when we play the Spurs. I though Shaq was ineffective, it looked like he was going thru the motions. Oh well, hopes are fading and they're fading fast.

I think the Suns could have won this game if they had kept Lou in down the stretch rather than bringing Shaq back in. When Lou was in during the 4th quarter, the Suns made a sensational come back. Lou was fighting for every board, played good D, he even got a couple of great blocks in...then when Shaq came back with about 5mins left, the wheels came off very quickly.

I know it's hard to leave someone like Shaq on the bench and keep a relative "no name" like Lou in the game but I think Gentry should have had the balls to do it.

Also I thought the defense on Parker's layup at the end was atrocious and for once it wasn't Nash's fault but rather J-Rich and (to some extant) Shaq. Parker just blew right past J-Rich like he wasn't there.

Didn't really matter though - all the momentum the Suns had built up during the comeback had swung back the Spurs way by then anyway.

I thought Amundson looked really bad defensively in Miami, and he gave up that easy reverse jam to landry against Houston, but he looked great against the Spurs. He has to be more consistent defensively, but I'd be all for seeing him get some serious minutes with Swift.
