The official no hope thread
Since there is an official don't give up hope thread ...
There is no hope, really.
Truth be told is Shaq does not have the legs to carry this team.
Only real questions left is what moves will Kerr and Sarver make at end of season that will bring real hope?

Re: The official no hope thread
the only hope is for pulling up a lottery miracle, that might prevent 2-3 years of suffering...
otherwise, i don't see this team doing any better next year, and unfortunately we don't have our pick too.

LOL @ the Suns.
We need to WIN four straight, and we LOSE four straight.

you guys are funny, if the Suns beat Dallas they are 3 games out and own the tiebreaker
Dallas has a much tougher schedule from here on out, it's far from over

Oh yeah that will fix everything, a 8th seed! NOT.

Mavs' next 7 games
@PHX
@Port (b2b)
@GS
@LA
Detroit
@Atlanta
@Indiana (b2b)
3-4 at best, 0-7 possible, I will be on board with this thread if the Suns lose Tuesday though

An 8th seed and a shot at a Lakers team that we match up well with is a hell of a lot better than the 14th pick that Kerr will screw up anyways.

Re: The official no hope thread
The reason why the Suns wanted Shaq in Phoenix was because they believed in Porter's system.
Now that the Suns are going back to the old fashion "Run-and-Gun", Shaq, who is 37, just can't
keep up.

In some ways I'd rather miss the playoffs then lose in 4 or 5 in the first round, but I think if they play well enough to get into the playoffs they could be scary in the first round.
I hate what has happened to this team too but I don't see the point in whining anymore.

I don't agree with this. Shaq has been fine.
We lost 4 straight road games, but they were all competitive and 3 of them were against very good to great teams who have been extremely tough to beat at home. The other was on a b2b against a decent team who shot lights out.
It's going to be really tough to bounce back and beat Dallas, but if they do an easier schedule will help this team make some improvements. And we do seem to match up well with LA.

We match up the lakers? Maybe if Nash doesn't play, else Fisher will take him out of his game. No Amare.

Fisher is not the type of PG that gives Nash trouble(quick/speedy as heck). I really think we'd be competitive in a series against the Lakers.

Moves? Maybe.
Moves that bring hope? Not a chance.

Re: The official no hope thread
i still believe. as long as we beat the mavs 2 times. away from that a split of the 2 games will make it impossbile to reach the playoffs.
if i am the lakers i would prefer to play dallas at any time.

Re: The official no hope thread
As long as Steve Nash is here this team wont be going very far, they might be able to squeak in to the playoffs this year or next year but other than that I don't see them getting to the finals or passed the first round.
I took alot of heat for criticizing Nash in the past and I probally still would get some but look, this isn't a one time thing it's a pattern. Just look at this road trip Nash gave up career highs to Cook and Brooks and let Parker scorch him again. As long as Nash is the starting pg, nothing is going to change.

Hill and Barnes were guarding Parker for the majority of the game, not Nash.

Even if that's the case, Nash has never been a good defender and the opposing players tend to go off on him.

Very true, but he's a great help defender(second in the league in drawing charges) and he's been producing at an extremely high level as of late. He's one of the reasons why we've been in each game till the end.
