Racist comments regarding Thomas might include whether he belongs to the human race. He's always been a jerk, just one that was a great pg.
I'm tired of Tommy's whining about calls on every offensive possession. He's gotten worse.
OTOH, I'm nuts about his knowledge of the game. I've learned so much about the game by the nuances that he picks up as they occur in game-time. So, you take the good with the bad.
interesting last week when Gorman called out Melo as being a bad teammate and then Melo goes ahead and proves it in the next game. Was that a racist comment from the usually mild-mannered Mike, obviously not, IMO. Isiah would've no doubt called it racist, who cares?

Athanacropolis wrote:Good points. But there will come a time where NO ONE LIVING was systematically victimized by the EXACT SAME PEOPLE who were historically responsible for the institutional racism. Should my white grandkids still be blamed for slavery? If you think "yes," you're an ****. (Not you, tombattor, I'm speaking generally.)
Who's blaming anyone's white grandkids for slavery? No one is blaming anyone's grandkids for slavery, but there is a thing called, "awareness."
I personally don't agree with all the PC and hyper-sensitivity with everyone being labeled, racist, anti-semite or whatever. However, I am aware that a lot of people and their parents went through some sh*t and still feel bitter and sensitive about it. How can you not understand that?

Hey, my relatives (and Athanacropolis' too, we're brothers) came here from Greece in the late 1910s and experienced a LOT of racism/bigotry in the northeastern US...and you don't hear a **** peep from Greek Americans complaining of past behavior. Ditto for the Germans, Italians, and (especially) Irish, who were treated like absolute **** at one point. Granted non of these people were enslaved but they *were* discriminated against. My whole point is it's been years and years no so we all need to GET THE **** OVER IT and move on!!!
And back to the topic at hand, Isiah is a jerk. It's *HE* and Rodman who are the racists for their Bird comments 20 years ago....

Come on bro. You think what White-European immigrants went through in the North East is the same as what the blacks went through? The lynchings were a common practice, even in the 60s in the south. That means, people our age have grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, etc., who went through this stuff.
Put yourself in their shoes. If your parents, aunts, uncles, etc., were tormented with all kinds of hatred and violence; and you felt the similar-hatred, even to a lesser extent, would you be able to get over it that easily?
I know you are very conservative and hate this sh*t, but you have to see why they still feel bitter and are sensitive about the subject. It's not just about being liberal or being PC.

^I said I knew it didn't compare to slavery, but my point is damn near everyone here in this country could bitch and moan but how does it affect you NOW, you know? Everyone should just STFU about past grievances that have no impact on them personally and move on, ya know?
Isiah should learn to do that, along with not being a wretched human (I keep....trying...to...steer this thread....back...
