Leftwich out of JAX?
Mortensen is reporting that Garrard won the starting gig and that Leftwich is being shopped. No takers and he will likely be released. Very intriguing development for teams in need of QB help, if the asking price is reasonable.

Agreed completely, as a Jags fan I favored him over Garrard, so I wish the both of them the best of luck. I think Leftwich can be a very good quarterback, he just needs a better supporting cast than he had in Jax. The Jag's offense wasn't built for a slow, immobile QB due to the weak pass blocking o-line and recievers that struggle creating seperation. As for ironing, ESPN is reporting the Jags might bring Brunell back.

How bad must it suck to get cut right before the season starts in a contract year.
What's really sad about this timing is that he could have been the starter in Minnesota had the Jags made this decision even one week ago. I haven't heard anything about possible destinations, but here's one I guarantee will explore him that most people won't consider--the New York Giants. I know people in that org who think Eli needs a challenge to his job to keep him focused, and they don't have that. At worst he's a cheap backup if he'll accept that.

So essentially this comes down to another year wasted for this defense? Leftwich was easily the better QB, it has taken the WR's how long to help him out in the slightest bit. Jones and Williams have been quite disappointing thus far. Heck Garrard might suck it up so much that Jones becomes the QB of this team. Not really, but still Leftwich will land on another team and probably be in a better situation after all. Chiefs could be a solid fit imo...
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

Tough decision.
And one that could ultimately end up being the nail in Del Rio's coaching career with the Jaguars.
Hopefully Leftwitch catches on with a team like the Chiefs or the Buccaneers.
That's what happens when you team up a immoblie, slow-releasing QB with WR's that aren't quick in and out of thier cuts.
