I agree that Thabo is more of a factor. But they're teammates, I don't really look at them as rivals, so I probably should not post in this topic.

Both have definitely stepped up their play since being put in competition with one another (Thabo coming here from the Bulls). I'm thinking that next year it will probably just be both of them coming off of the bench, but it's possible that they could even be vying for a starting spot next season.

Thabo +/-: +27 (best of the team) in a 15 points win in 38 minutes!!!!!
Weaver +/-: +2

Thabo has an four straight win!

Sorry but advantage Thabo!

Can also add that since Thabo is a starter the Thunder are 66 % win for 27 % for all the season.

Wow you even threw in an exclamation point.

That's ok I don't agree with you either!!

Overall Thabo had a better night so he gets the nod to take the small advantage over Kyle Weaver.

Advantage Thabo +1

So with Thabo showing that he is a pretty reliable scorer 13pts a game as a member of the Thunder if you don't count his first game after the trade where he laid a goose egg. Does that shift the Thunder's focus on this off-season?

A month ago the two spots the Thunder need to improve were at the SG and in the middle at C.

With Thabo showing he can score and defend and then there is Kyle Weaver who has played really solid this last stretch as well. Is that your SG combo? OR do they still leave you wanting more from your SG spot? Are you still looking for the James Harden's of the draft or would you be happy with a "Ben Gordon lite" type of player? Or are you happy with Thabo, Weaver one, two punch.

Do you take all that cap room and draft picks and other expirings to solidify the Center spot?

I think the other 6 members of this forum know where I stand and that I want a center. I'm fine with Thabeet but if Presti can work his magic and land another Tyson Chandler type deal I'm all for it.

But I'm perfectly content with a Thabo/Weaver combo at SG. I would like to add a Eddie House/Ben Gordon lite type of player though either with the second round pick or via free agency.

But for me with the recent addition of Thabo and Weaver's all around improved play it takes the SG off the position of need list.

Their improvement has definitely at least made it so that the SG position isn't that of a desperate need. I think it's actually fairly similar to our center position now. At the 5 we've got two guys who are somewhere between solid backup and average starter (Krstic and Collison). We have the same type of thing at the two. Because of that, to me it's still up in the air which you go after... Therefore, I've gotta just go with the best available talent.

Looks like with Durant and Green back in the line up Weaver is coming off the bench.

Thabo had 34minutes and Weaver logged in 20minutes.

Thabo had a big advantage on the boards even if you consider minutes played.

Advantage Thabo +2

If Thabo keeps chipping in with games around 11pts, 8rebs, 3stls and 1dime there is no reason to keep looking for a shooting guard

Man this game is really a tough one to call between the two of them.

Thabo played 34 minutes (+/- -7), 12pts, 1reb, 2dimes, 3thefts, 2blks and 1 turnover

Weaver played just under 19min, (+/- +12) 4pts, 3rebs, 2dimes, 1theft, 1blk and 2 turnover

It's obvious that Thabo is the starter in Brooks eyes and Thabo is getting starter minutes.

I think now Thabo has shown that he deserves to be a starter. I was just ticked to see that Brooks simply gave him the job when Weaver was playing well.

But I like the way Weaver and Thabo play together on the court. I think they have a good chemistry between the two of them.

I really hope we get to see Westbrook, Weaver and Thabo all on the court at the same time during parts of the game. I think those three could simply lock up the perimeter like nobody's business.

Anyway I'll give the nod to Thabo again.

Advantage Thabo +3
