Suns trade Nash and J Rich to Toronto for Jose Calderon and Marion.
The salaries match as well. We get better defensively

what if we throw in Tucker or Lopez?
BC would love to have Nash back and he gets to be home in Canada

See, this is where you're wrong. Toronto does this in a heartbeat, but no way we do this. Marion would have to be signed at 18mil/year for this to happen (S&T), and we don't want that. Also, Marion and Amar'e didn't end it on the best terms, and same with Kerr & Matrix. Why the hell would we get him back? Also, trust me, we want NOTHING to do with Jose, I mean NOTHING. He sucks. Nuff said.

Re: How bout this trade in offseason
I'm a huge Nash fan and I'd love for him to retire a Sun but if he is traded, I hope it's only if Amare is traded too.
The Nash/Amare p 'n r is still one of the most lethal combos in the league so we should keep little Stevie if we are keeping Amare. I know they are both very average defenders but then we should be trading other guys (like J-Rich or Shaq) to bring in defensive players.
Nash & Amare have never been great defenders but when Marion, Bell etc were around, their defense compensated for Nash & Amare.
Amare needs a PG of Nash's calibre to be as effective offensively as possible.
Would love to see Marion back in a Suns uniform but he also was able to play at a much higher level thanks to Nash so getting him, but giving away Nash, seems pointless to me. He can't really create his own shots. Yes he is a great defender but I think he also needs to have his offensive touches or his ego gets in the way and he ends up missing in action on both ends of the court.
