Rodney Harrison to be suspended for HGH

Post#1 » by meatball sub » Sat Sep 1, 2007 12:53 am

Not a Pats fan, but I figured I'd pass the info on to my fellow Celtic faithful.

I'm pretty damn surprised he was linked to the probe honestly.

C'mon Rodney, can't you get better masking agents? You make plenty of money.

He didnt test positive. Some ratted on him in a federal investigation. So he decided to just come out and admit it.

Don't want a cheater on this team, regardless of how much I liked the guy or not.

sunshine, you are calling him a cheater? come on man, thats quite naive, rodney is just tyring to make status quo if you don't think most of these cats arent using hgh or something harder- then i don't know what to tell you.

Damn Rodney...Damn. Well its ok. We get to see James Sanders and Brandon Meriweather develop.

If eugene wilson plays like he has been the past year or two, and Meriweather shines. I bet when Rodney comes back, eugene might take a spot on the bench.

Artrell Hawkins also enters the situation again. Pioli has probably already called him.

Also, very smart move by rodney to be the one to announce this. Shows that he knows he was wrong and will pay for his mistakes. And appoligises to the team, and the fans.

sunshine

im not saying just other people- im saying nearly everybody. thats just the way the league works.

query: is the nfl allowed to do blood tests of its players? i know thats how mlb players all get away it (MLB is legally not allowed to conduct blood tests on its players- so players can use HGH all season without any consequences).

That is completely true. But I would be lying if I said I didn't care. I love Rodney, I have his jersey, and I'm supremely disappointed.

I too am disappointed with Rodney, I really liked him as a player and player but cheating? : ( Whatever management decides to do, cut him or stick with him, I will support the decision.

I have to say that this didnt bother me all that much. Normally I would be upset if one of our players was caught cheating (steroids or HGH), but Rodney Harrison was coming off of two major knee injuries, and I can understand the temptation to use it as a recovery tool. Rodney wasnt using HGH to get an advantage over other players, he was using it to help repair the damaged tissue in his knee. He knew his body wouldnt recover fast enough on its own, or even if it WOULD recover enough to play. If it was take HGH or never play the game you love again, Im sure alot of people would opt to take HGH.
