I don't really understand how Orlando showed yesterday that they are not ready for primetime. You do realize the Magic are a combined 2-2 against Cleveland and Boston right? Magic got a big lead and as teams do let off the gas a little and that added momentum in Boston's favor. Boston played great in the 4th to make it a game, but other than about 15 minutes in the game the Magic dominated. I don't really understand how winning in Boston proves that the Magic can't compete with the best teams.

I'm not saying that the Magic would beat the Celtics or Cavs in a 7 game series or that this game proves that the Magic could contend with them, because obviously it doesn't when they aren't at full strength. I just don't understand how dominating a team for 33 minutes and pulling off a win in one of the toughest environments proves that the Magic aren't contenders. I haven't looked at either teams schedules per say, but don't the Magic have a slightly easier schedule the rest of the way? If Orlando is able to beat the Celtics in Orlando then they just have to go 1 game better than the Celtics to tie them.

Orlando and Lakers both both get an "L".

Its the end of the season and all the elite teams are getting worn down.

It looks like it is going to be a dogfight all the way.

IF we cant catch the Cavs, we should have our fingers crossed that Detroit can hold on for 6th spot, they would take the Magic to 7, and possibly even beat them... they have had their number consistantly for a while now.. and we saw what we can do to Detroit in the playoffs already

I was thinking the same thing...but I think it would be better that Miami finishes 6th, because with Wade and another 20 games with Oneil/Moon they are also capable of pushing Orlando to 7 games. Also Miami is a better 2nd round opponent than Detroit (if Orlando loses).

I would like to see Detroit with Cleveland in 2 round.

I think all 3 teams(Atlanta, Miami, Det) can take top 3(Cleveland,Boston,Orlando) to 7 games so staying 2nd is important because of the easier opponent in first round.

I updated the first post.

Important notice:
Because of the great team play of Detroit in last 14 days I added them to
- Good teams: Top 9 Western teams + top 7 Eastern teams(Bos,Orl,Cle,Atl,Mia,Det,Phi)
That basically changes numbers only by LAL(playing at Detroit) and Cleveland(Detroit at home).

:) A harder schedule for both, like it.

With all the injuries and 3 more loses than Cleveland and LA Lakers it is time to protect the 2nd seed in East. First that would mean to avoid one of (Atlanta, Miami, Detroit) as the potential 6th seed and also have home court advantage to probably Orlando in 2nd round:

So I started a new thread:

Cavs down 16pts entering the 4th Q against the Kings.

They lose + C's win = 2 games back.

It's our D. Which apparently we only play in the 4th and OT now.

your D doesnt cause 30 foot passes into the paint straight to the opposition, teams just seem to panic

i know the Cavs need to execute down the stretch to win, so credit to them.. its just frustrating watch team after team blow leads against them when an extra loss here and there would help us a lot

The 4th qtr comeback stuff wouldn't work against a good team. Lebron smells blood in the water when teams start losing confidence and he just builds momentum getting in the lane. Bad teams obviously can't stop his penetration, so once he turns it on the game is pretty much over cause you are either giving him layups or giving up wide open threes on every possession.

That's pretty much how we keep pulling these last couple games out of our ass. Lebron starts driving and it's a wrap. LA/BOS can keep him out of the lane though more frequently so...
