15th roster spot

Post#1 » by laduane1 » Wed Mar 11, 2009 11:32 pm

With the Celtics adding Moore and Starbury and the Cavs adding Joe Smith and Denver adding a point guard and Spurs adding Drew Gooden. Should we have tryed to add someone to the last spot on the roster. I sure hope one of those other teams do not win the championship just due to they added a player that was bought out and the Lakers sat and did nothing. We all know that who ever the Lakers would have added might not have played much. Just the thought of a little insurance might have made a tiny difference. Guess we are all going to just have to wonder what might have been.

i don't think there's any doubt the lakers did try to get someone for that last spot. drew gooden himself said the lakers tried to sign him.

I think we are fine just as long as we get Andrew Bynum back healthy. No one can stop the Lakers when they're healthy.

You're over rating these guys, the combo of Marbury and Moore were a combined 0 pts, 6 rebs and 4 asst tonight verses the Heat. Gooden came to the Spurs as damaged goods..........plus he doesn't fit their mantra of defense, shows you the levels the Spurs have sunk to. Believe me we didn't miss out on anything that was out there.

I am relatively new to this board, but I love the Lakers and have followed them religiously since 1984. On this issue of the open roster spot, could we use Marcus Williams at least till the end of the regular season, even though he is not eligible for the post season? I also think he could give Farmar and Sun Yue a run for their money next year. Just a thought, that's all.

anyway if the celtics or the cavs win, that doesn't mean that the additions made the difference
