The way we came out was what cost us the game. They started out with Bibby on Miles and jazz tried to exploit it but Miles was playing like crap to start out the game and we fell behind. Why Miles starts on a playoff contender team is beyond me.
We were playing from behind for most of the game and we were asking too much in the 4th quarter from a team that was on it's 2nd of back to back.

While the refs were plenty horrible, I wouldn't freak out. I kink of expected this, really, but I was happy with the way the game went, ultimately.
I think, more than anything, the best indicator is that when the Jazz were down by 13 going into the second half, I expected them to come back. When Atlanta made the run in the 4th, I expected us to answer. Not only that, I think the players expected it, too. That is very encouraging.
You don't go from being a horrid road team to a juggernaut overnight. On this day, we lost the game because of mental/emotional/focus related issues. We played hard. We executed. We had confidence. And we looked like we would win the game. We just wavered a bit at the end. Nothing to worry about as long as it doesn't become a habit.
There were plenty of promising signs though.
And I'm going to call it right now: We win these next two.

I do agree erudite, and I think even more of the loss can be attributed to pure exhaustion on Deron's part. He was getting beat up tonight, and on a back to back playing 42 minutes is insane.
I do have confidence that the Jazz will win at least one of these next two, and 3-2 on this road trip would be a very good sign for the Jazz.

It's been a long nice winning streak, and I'm not upset to have it end on the 2nd of a back to back on the road to a team playing .800 basketball on their homecourt. We also put up a pretty good fight in the 2nd half, which counts for something. Hopefully we come back pissed off and beat Miami, Orlando is another story, that would be a MONSTROUS road win.

We seems to be again stalled at the backup PG spot; Brevin's not showing he can manage for 10-12 minutes when Deron need some rest, like in a bak to back... may be it's time to go with Ronnie again...

Far too many dunks by Atlanta.
Where was our zone?
Where was our zone?
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Oh shut up, seriously, Jazz didn't lose this game cause of the refs, Elite teams don't bitch about officiating, I'm sick of hearing this ****.
