on the KG trade, i disagree and say you did steal KG away. maybe not as bad as the lakers trade. true you gave up jefferson, who is better than anyone the lakers gave up, BY FAR, but saying the minnesota boxscore is filled with ex-celtics in the starting lineup only reinforces my point that you traded crap, cuz those players form one of the worst teams in the league! hey you get props for making the trade, but i dont know a 12 yr old girl who wouldnt accept that offer, so just admit you banged minnesota, and ainge got lucky. thats all im looking for! just like pats fans deny they got lucky on the tom brady fumble and wont admit it was a fumble (the game is known as The Fumble Game and the league said it should have been called a fumble) i dont know why you cant just say you lucked out. whats wrong with that?

as for starbury, i can see him hitting a game winner or scoring 8 straight in a game. no doubt i understand he could be a scorer off the bench. just dont expect him to let KG or Pierce take the last shot if the ball is in his hands. he aint passin. he could lose you a game just as easily if you give him too much leash...

I have never in my life seen a negative post from mang. He has always been positive on Ainge.

Second of all, please show me the better offer out there for KG. Please. I have been waiting an entire year and still have seen nothing close to Al Jefferson.

Third, he was clearly masterminding this scenario the whole time. It was about getting pieces the entire time. Ainge is playing chess and everyone else is playing checkers. He has a great idea about the draft. 2 messups in Banks and Green and that's in like 5 years. To get a soon to be perennial all star out of the lottery is extremely tough to do. And he has done it twice. Rondo and Jefferson.

Your heart is pure Mang. History has proven this. You are not and NEVER HAVE BEEN a Danny-doubter.

As far as your friend: He is incorrect on many counts. Ainge began to stockpile tradable assets early in his tenure as Celtics honcho. He was always following a longterm plan. He brilliantly set up the Garnett trade far in advance with the 2004 draft, acquiring Ratliff's expiring contract, both Wally deals, and then trading for Ray Allen (and even the original Antoine trade).

He also was smart enough to hire and stick with Doc Rivers.

He took over a team completely devoid of desirable players and patiently turned them into a champion.

Only someone confused enough to root for the Knicks could cast stones at coach mang's unwavering record of Ainge-support. For shame NY friend! For shame!!!

(By the way I also supported Ainge from the beginning. So NY friend thinking no Celtic fans were supporting Danny is wrong. WRONG!!!.)

We had money doubters on this board. But as far as I can tell Mang has always been pro-Danny.

And to me it's quite obvious to see that Danny stockpiled for 2007. He had multiple expiring contracts, the T-Wolves draft pick, our own (which happened to be quite high) and he kept Paul Pierce through all the difficult years. That's not catching lightning in a bottle. That's a strategy.

But we all should be thankful that the ownership delivered cash and trust to Danny. Otherwise the absolutely brilliant offseason in 2007 wouldn't have happened.

She's always been pro-Celtics though.
