The LeBron rules...

Post#1 » by MyInsatiableOne » Fri Mar 13, 2009 11:41 am

Well, the NFL did it for Peyton Manning and the Colts, now the NBA is doing it for LeBron and the Cavs:

http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... le_change/

BEHOLD: THE CRAB DRIBBLE! Coming to a game (or three) next year...so when you play the Cavs there will be a different set of traveling rules from the other 80 or so games in the season...got it?
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

What a farce. It's bad enough that people get away with travels all the time, but to make it legit? That's a joke.

I've got another idea. Since officials never call 3 in the key for offensive players anyway, why not change it to a 10 in the key violation?

Seriously, this is a disgrace. I don't see how this rule helps the game of basketball. It cheapens it IMO.

Video proof that the Crab dribble is not a travel

BTW, there is no problem with the crab dribble because it is not a travel. The travel occurred after he picked up the ball.

It's still ridiculous that they'd even look into it...if any other player besides LeBron had done it, this would be a moot point...they wouldn't even change the rule...

I don't get it either. The "crab dribble" is already legal. He just traveled aftewards. Unless he uses the term 'crab dribble' to describe his crab dribble + travel combo move. Are they planning to make the combination legal somehow???

Seriously, The Media and the NBA is so far up Lebron arse that they might even catch some crabs from Lebron.

Too true...

I am so not looking forward to having to listen to Mike Breen call any Celtics-Cavs games in the playoffs...

^ I'm not looking forward to anyone calling any Cavs games. Reggie Miller, especially, jizzes his pants every time LeBron does something. For example last night, J-rich stupidly tried a 360 dunk on a breakaway and got fouled by LeBron. All 3 commentators climaxed over and over as they showed the replay of the CLEAR foul (aka "amazing block") that lead to a wide open 5-on-4 3 for Cleveland and resulted in another free point from J-rich getting T'd up. :noway: :jawdrop:

Ya Reggie is the biggest HOMER when it comes to Lecrab.
I mean he acts like it the first time he has ever watch or witnessed a good player, he swears Lecrab is the best to ever play this game.
He forgot M.J use to torch his arse and his team night in night our season after season.
But when ever Reggie talks I MUTE.

^Good point about Reggie, too....
Mark Jackson and JVG were good, but Breen was insufferable...LeBron would get a routine rebound and it would be "LEBRON JAMES OH MY GOD WHAT A BOARD" but then someone on the other team would do a ridiculous play and it'd be "joe schmoe for 2..."

^Remember Lebron's dunk against the Celtics last season in game 6? "With no regard for human life!" That dunk was supposed to rip the heart out of the Celtics and the Celtics were supposed to lose game 7 because of it. LMAO!

Yeah that was **** ridiculous and lame...I've seen LeBron and others do better and more spectacular dunks like that...whopee, an uncontested fast break dunk by an athletic freak, never seen that before. I think Breen had to change his undies after that one!

Just another reason to dislike the NBA. The "crab dribble" is not anything new, and for LeBron to get any credit for it is just stupid. He actually does not do it properly. He DOES travel after the fact.

 Ya you are correct, here let me do it myself, since you do have a point, but its marginal since I thought the thread rolled from his crab dribble to his treatment he recieves by the NBA.
But back to the thread, I still think he travels........

Yup. Reggie was one of my favorite players as a kid, but he's a terrible announcer. His commentary never makes any sense, and it seems like he is not even watching the same game sometimes. TNT needs to get rid of him and Cheryl ASAP. :banghead:
