Nash trade coming in offseason

Post#1 » by ihateginobili » Fri Mar 13, 2009 8:55 pm

Sorry for starting a new thread. I’ve been sitting on this news for about a week now. He is not coming back; at least 8-12 teams will have interest in acquiring him. My sources have been on point every time.

The Suns better do the right thing and send him to a team like New York or Toronto.

I could easily imagine a S&T. I think Nash would oblige if it got him to a team he liked. Maybe a 3 year deal at the ME.

i know it doesnt mean much when we arent winning and being loved all over. but when was the last time a player retired a Sun?
someone like David Robinson, a face of what the team represents... i personally think its been way too long. i thought amare would be that but then he was nearly traded, nash was the PERFECT candidate and if this goes through than that idea gone as well.

this sucks.

I think he's earned to say where he wants to go, whether that be TOR, NY or any other team like POR

Makes a lot of sense really if Nash has no desire to play for less money. Suns really have no choice in order to get under the shrinking Luxury tax limit next year.

But he won't be traded likely, just his option year not picked up.

I think it would be the right move to let him go. I would love for him to retire a sun, but it is not possible anymore because of the front office decisions to go all out for it.

Not many players retire with the team who drafted them, especially in the later years. nash was traded before so it won't be like a the admiral.

He has been an integral part to this team the past 5 years. Haters like sweet Susie Mary do not fully understand the game of basketball, but out of respect, go to the man and see what he wants to do and see if you can accommodate him and get some nice pieces back to help rebuild this team. I hope the rebuild it in a different way then this team was. We can not have 3 max players again.

Im all for blowing this team up and rebuilding it.

If this is true, thanks nash for all the great years and memories.

Thanks ihateginobili for the info.

Just unreal how classless you are Maryvales. Nash is not perfect but he's done a lot more for this franchise then you can ever imagine. I just hope management doesn't try to screw him over in his last days here. It riles me up to think of the 04/05/06 seasons that could have netted us a ring. Between BS injuries at the wrong time and (Please Use More Appropriate Word) suspensions, we've had so much bad luck when we were dominating the run and gun. I'd love to see Nash go in a coaching capacity as his BBIQ is incredibly high.

like i posted in another thread, it´s sad to see thing fall apart. but you gotta understand the fo.
the way we want to play ( I LOVE THAT WAY ) just didn´t bring us any rings anw with the master of disaster ( nash ) aging and losing his special-moments. so what would you do. i also would try to trade everybody and try to build around ama´re, j-rich and maybe stro.

there is no way that steve nash was the face of the snake the last five years, it was a great time,
but we must move on..

Props to the great one
