Thanks for posting this....good stuff...I always like seeing Danny speak..and like you said, he is always so optimistic and straight forward..not like all these GM's who beat around the bush, and give an 10 minute interview running away from the questions. And the last 3 minutes of the interview were just great. He hit it right on the spot..right now we are not half as good, but when everybody gets back we can be better than the team last year. Last year we were the big 3 with 2 unexperienced players around them, and a bench who did not get credit around the league. Now Rondo and Perk are feared by the NBA, plus we added another all-star in Marbury. Not to mention the play of BBD and Powe, who IMO can easily join Mikki and Tony and fill in the gap Posey and PJ left..they have just improved 10x times what they were last year. We got a good team man. We need to get the guys healthy soon, to get some run under them together, so we can roll into the playoffs. And im glad we didn't get Joe. I don't like him...Mikki looks like a better fit for this team. He just has that fire, and Joe is just...too chill and relaxed...plays a game 7 of the playoffs witht he same intensity that he would play a preseaosn game. Good interview by DA...
GIVE EM HELL C's...GIVE EM HELL!!!

Here are the cliff notes, fellas:

--Moore brings needed length and shooting on the front line--best big man shooter available----great mid-range FG % the last 2 years--gives us great energy and depth for the playoffs
--Steph--unbelievable talent--we think he can handle the ball against pressure, and score, and create, and get after it on defense as well--came from a dysfunctional franchise and has had a tough couple years personally. Before we signed him, we talked to everyone about Marbury, did our homework on him. We got a lot of positive feedback on him. Danny thinks he's in a similar position as the Big 3 were prior to last year. Danny likes Steph--we're not tolerating him, we like him, he's got a lot more good in him. Danny said he thinks that star players often get too much pressure put upon them to win and often these are unrealistic expectations and these players get their reputations hurt because of it when in reality they are still great players.
--It'll take time for these 2 new guys to get their sea legs.
--When we get healthy, we have a chance to be much better than we were last season.
--Re: Joe Smith--most of the year, we tried to acquire him in trades, we thought there was a strong possibility he'd be bought out, but we also knew there was a strong pull to go back to Cleveland. On top of that, we really like Mikki. He can make the same shots that Joe can, he's got energy and length. It was an unanimous decision by the brain trust to go with Mikki.
The leaks are real...the news is fake.

His views on Moore and Steph are exactly how i feel, i think this team is in a great spot to repeat as long as we are healthy... home court or not, we are the best team once the playoffs start IMO

Yeah, and more importantly, I think it signals that Danny has thoughts of keeping Marbury here past this season...

If we can keep Marbury on the cheap we definately should, he would be great with a training camp under his belt
