Doc about the tech.......

Post#1 » by Kefa461 » Wed Mar 18, 2009 11:01 am

“I don’t usually go this route, but the technical I got thrown out (on) was the most unprofessional tech by a ref I’ve ever had,” Rivers said. “He stood there and he goaded me and he goaded me and stared at me. Look at the film. I actually walked away. He asked me, ‘Where do you want the ball?’ And I said, ‘Ask them,’ talking about our players. That’s my right to say that, and I walked away. He stood there and stared me down and stared me down and goaded me until I turned around and said, ‘What?’ That’s what I got thrown out of the game for in a (five)-point game. Think about that. Think about that play that Bill Kennedy made. That is the most unprofessional tech I’ve ever had.”

I kind of saw what happened. If you CLOSELY AND CAREFULLY watch the video Doc Rivers turned back like a terminator and just shouted out loud WHAT....to the ref...like he had a problem or something. I knew he was gonna get thrown out. We're losing a game and our head coach is losing his brains, arguing and getting tossed out instead of putting players together and trying to win a ball game.

I also saw the game.....if you did too, you also saw Kennedy follow him up and a ref doesn't do that unless he is trying to **** with a coach. A coach ....any coach is only gonna take so much.....that is not a refs job to be **** with the coaches.....is it? His/her job is to ref the game not to stalk the coaches is it??????? The coach has enough of a job, just to coach...when Doc answered his question once that was enough...the ref should have went about his business.....he was **** with Doc and you know it. Right is right and wrong and if you can't see it. Well that's where we must agree to disagree. 8-)

Kefa, it's a losing battle...DieselCeltics has lost his mind the last few days...don't waste time trying to rationalize with him...

I agree with Doc, though, the tech was ridiculous....with 30 seconds left in the game? Really? Another piece of evidence showing the refs think *THEY'RE* the show....
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

The only mistake that ref made was mocking him with his hand. But Doc must be living large. He obviously doesn't care about being fined and for what he said I'm expecting $20.000 fine, if not more.

You know what this is all on the ref and I swear every game that guy refs a Celtics game I don't think the Cs have won. Doc can't come out and say it but I can, they need to look into that refs bank account or check his phone records because he is clearly on the take. Remember the last ref who throw Doc Rivers out for no reason what so ever? I can't think of his name right now but he was found guilty for cheating the game. The Commish really needs to do something before folk start questioning the league again.

I'm already on record to say that league wants Lebron vs Kobe. I said this over the summer time. If you look at the way the Lakers and Cavs games have been called compared to the way the Celtics games have been call and you can clearly see the league does not want to the Celtics to be in the finals. Now granted I think the Cavs are a better team then they was last season but I feel they will beat the Cs in the play-offs because they will have home court and also they have the refs in their back pockets thanks to the NBA league office.

I don't think the NBA wants Kobe vs LeBron in the finals. Lakers/Celtics always deliver high ranking, but who knows...the entire NBA is so corrupt it's not enjoyable for my eyes anymore.

Nope all of last season I was staying the league wants Celtics vs. Lakers and Stern who wasn't a big fan of Red had to turn the page and allow the Cs in the finals out of respect for Red. Plus it would bring back fans on the Northern East Coast. Now that they have that with to some degree, they league wants Lakers vs. Cavs to build up the new Magic vs. Bird which is Kobe vs. Lebron. That's the match up everyone wants to see outside of Celtic fans. I want a Lakers vs. Celtics rematch where the Celtics beat the Lakers again. But when the Commish wants something he gets it. It will be Lakers vs. Cleveland this season and the Lakers will win. Then next season it will be Lakers vs. Cleveland again where the Cavs will take it and Lebron James will get his first ring and the Kobe will pass the torch to Lebron.

I can agree with this prediction although on the other hand it makes sense for Stern if LeBron comes up short in CLE and bolts to NY in '10...

Don't assume all biases are about money.

There are lots of crazy biases right here on this board, but I don't think very many people get paid to post here. :)

True but if Lebron leaves Cleveland after winning a championship he can be at peace with his choice and he can tell the people in Cleveland that he did want he came there to do and that is to win a championship for the City of Cleveland and the state of Ohio. He then can go to New York and save basketball in NYC. We should just be happy that the Cs was able to win one championship with the big three.

This year will clearly tell you if NBA has their hands in fixing matches etc. If someone like Philadelphia vs Jazz ends up in the finals then I'll understand but seriously, Lakers vs Cavs will tell you the NBA is fixed. If this happens, I will personally boycott the NBA entirely.

Yeah that is true but a person who post on here who is bias doesn't have the power to act upon his or her own biases. yet the power that be in the NBA they have the powers and the means to do so. I just think nowadays you really can trust anyone or anything when it come to professional sports. I even think last year the league wanted the Celtics vs. Lakers and they tried everything they could do to get that match up. The league is one step away from becoming the WWE.

I think it's gonna happen, too...I have invested less and less $$ in the NBA over the years...I don't buy any shirts/merchandise, hardly ever go to games (1 in the last 6 years)...I just watch it on TV, and while I root like hell for the C's and follow the league, it's not a huge part of my life...too corrupt (I know MLB and the NFL are not blameless but the dirty taste in your mouth after you watch an MLB or NFL game is not there hardly at all...unless the Colts or Yankees are playing!)

Hopefully Doc was mad at himself more than the ref for going back to that 3 point guard lineup. At times it felt like 2006 all over again. Watching Pierce go superman and score 30 points, while the rest of the team was unable to stop their opponents. Remember those Delonte West, Oriene Green, and Allan Ray lineups?
