OT- Tweet! Tweet!

Post#1 » by Celtics_Champs » Wed Mar 18, 2009 2:57 pm

"In da locker room, snuck to post my twitt. We're playing the Celtics, tie ball game at da half. Coach wants more toughness. I gotta step up."

http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... _tweeting/

Wow. That's friggen terrible. I would go as far as fining him, maybe even suspending him for a game. You are in a playoff race, and you're at home versus the champions. This game has probably been circled for months on the calendar.

CV is lucky that the bucks ended up winning. Now, he had a big part in that, but still.

What's next, shooting commercials for Mickey D's during the half?

I think twitter in general seems so stupid, but this was (Please Use More Appropriate Word). He couldn't even spell "the" correctly and he snuck out IN THE MIDDLE OF A GAME (yes it was halftime, but still, you should listening to the coaches, doing warmups, etc)...ridiculous...

What do you expect? He gives a **** about the game of basketball. Notice how all of a sudden he's living up to his potential in a CONTRACT YEAR? The guy is a moron, and it just looking to get paid.

Seems like it, but can you blame him? Why should he play hard when he can slack off for 3 years and play well for one knowing someone will throw big $$$ at him? The new CBA needs to include non-guaranteed contracts to stop this BS. :o

^^ I guess it is the way you were brought up. We can hate LeBron and Kobe all we want, but you have got to respect their work ethic.

^True dat...

I've long been in favor of non-guaranteed contracts...make them accountable (and cut-able) like in the NFL...

You think Mark Blount would be able to tweet on a cell phone? With that kind of stone hands?! He would hurt himself or a team mate nereby, before sending out that message.

Regarding CV. I think that was over the top. You never should communicate with others than your team during a game.

That's assuming he could even be bothered to pick up his phone...the guy just doesn't seem to give a damn about ANYTHING...

Hey, at least Charlie V. is just an athlete. It's not like politicians or anybody with real jobs uses Twitter!

Oh, wait....

Seems a little more professional, though, doesn't it?

Anyway seeing as this is a BOSTON board I'm sure I'm in the minority so let's drop this shite. Suffice it to say, twitter is lame and Villanueva is a moron. Maybe he lost his brains when he lost his eyebrows! (seriously, where are his eyebrows? Does he have alopecia? If so then I understand and do not mock...If not, then it's weird...)
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
