Pierce must be delusional. He needs to watch some Cavs and Lakers games. The only ones I see in trouble are us unfortunately.
MyInsatiableOne wrote:^I think both games said a lot...the ORL game because we played like **** in that one and they STILL barely beat us. We played a pretty damn good game against CLE and they played their game (which I still don't like) and had the refs in their pockets (probably literally as well as figuratively) and still lost...

Yeah man. We beat Cleveland without KG, and then they barely slide by Orlando. Meanwhile LA loses at home to the 76ers, and we almost pull one out on the road with TWO BIG MEN and we're in trouble? Get the **** outta here.

You beating us without KG holds no merit because we've beaten you without West and Z.
When healthy you guys will be the true returning NBA Champs, no team will over look that, believe me. The problem is that the Celtics players have accepted poor play being the norm and have used injuries as a crutch (and rightfully so, you guys are missing alot of guys).
The other contenders have suffered injuries as well. However they have not allowed injuries to be an excuse for poor play. Poor, lazy play should not be allowed by any contender and it DEFINITELY should not be allowed by the franchise player of the Champs. I rooted for you guys against LA and it's sickening to see 1) So many players going down and 2) that your team is making excuses and "allowing" poor play. Why not fight for home court? With a little more effort you guys would not have not have lost most of the games you have lost due to injury. Why "accept" having to go through the toughest path possible to an NBA title?
What if when you guys get healthy the poor play continues? This is of course assuming that when your players come back they are completely healthy and are still in NBA shape. At that point would injuries still be the cause since the seeds for lackadaisical play are being planted now, or would the culprit be a lack of effort?

TonyMontana wrote:Your what if theory can also apply to your own team too, what if you guys do make it to the finals and lose or better yet get swept out the finals like you did against the Spurs???
Did you think about that?
You sitting here and posting like your team doesnt have problems or issues that needs to be delt with.
You fail to realize how easy your schedule has been.
Your playing sub 500 teams adn beating them by single digits.
You guys are getting a lot of love for the officials SPECIALLY AT HOME.
You have your team back healthy.
Did I mention how easy your schedule has been?
Im not a Celtics fan as you know, Im a Laker fan, but to come on here and run your mouth and claim injuires and having one of your starters that is the anchor of this team not contributing is a poor excuse, thats some balls.
Seeing how Cavs fans cried and complained so much about their losses on V and D. West being injured. Tooooooooooo Funny.
Frank Lucas wrote:First off nobody is going to over look the Celtics in the play-offs because they are the Champs. 2nd even if they are healthy I don't see them beating the Cavs this season. Last years Celtics team is better then this current team. I think most of us would agree with that. Now it took the Celtics two Paul Pierce free throws in game 7 to get pass a Cavs team that isn't as good as this current Cavs team. So you take those two things and I would have to say the Cavs should beat the Cs this season in the play-offs. The Cavs are a much better team then they was last year and this time around they will have home court. I'll tell you this I watch most of that Cavs/Orlando game and the refs gave the Cavs all the calls toward the end of that game. The Celtics can't even get calls in Chicago let alone in Cleveland.

So no merit, huh? We win without arguably our most valuable/best player, while you win *WITH* LeBron, missing a guard and center who, while very good, are not even All-Stars...ok...

Dude, with the ridiculous calls against us last night and the injuries, we could barely throw 5 guys out there...and we are still just barely losing games...how is that not "trying" to win? And why should we risk long-term injury to get HCA instead of being healthy heading into the playoffs? It amazes me how many people seem to think EVERY NBA CHAMP EVER had HCA in the playoffs...

I mean they (Bulls) realized that and they took advantage of it, and you would think that Doc would adjust as needed but he stuck with the same lineup and Ray got burned by Salmons over and over again.
Why not take out Ray and use L.Powe to guard Salmons?
Also that Tech at the end............. Dammm.
Doc should've just ignored the D.Bag.
