No way, I think we will too! It will be tough, no doubt, but we'll do it!

I think KG comes back with even more intensity and we win another title. I can see why people might slightly favor the Cavs but I think to be honest it should be even/ slightly favored to us. My out on a limb prediction? Orlando gets tossed in round 1.

I can agree with this, especially if they draw Atlanta or Miami in the 1st round...

I think we can beat them. There is nothing about that team that looks unbeatable. We have one of the best players to lock Lebron down and we've shown that we can do it consistently enough to win a series. Our front court if healthy should also have a big advantage. This wasn't the case last year. Elsewhere I think we match up pretty well with the Cavs and if we meet, the series will be won in the paint.

Shouldn't we make it that far first?

Perhaps you should be spending the day on another board helping dissect the Lakers loss at home last night to a team 14.5 games behind the Celtics in the standings.

The officiating will dictate the series. I didn't see a thread on it here, but I know some Orlando fans have complained about Lebron getting superstar calls last night vs. Orlando. If the officiating is adequate, I think Boston has a 50/50 shot at winning. I'd say it's above 50 if Wallace hasn't come back or is playing injured.

He did, too...and the Magic, much as I dislike them, got screwed with the "foul" called on Howard with something like 30 seconds left...

I think we can beat them any time of the week but man they'll have that important thing called home court advantage and so far they only lost ONCE this entire season, that is scary if you ask me. Why are they having such a long, good home success ?? I haven't followed their home games..

...the question should be can we beat the Lakers...?? that is if we earn a spot in the finals...

Lakers so far:

2 - 0 against Cavs
2-0 against us...

I wish we have that HCA, last year we would of won nothing without it. :-?

I haven't watched any highlights so I can't say. Did the announcers make any comment either? I was watching the end of the Mavericks-Lakers game on Sunday and I don't think I can listen to the announcers anymore. It's amazing how a player like Duncan who has led his team to many Championships doesn't receive the hype but Kobe and Lebron get jammed down our throats. As much as I enjoy listening to the crowd I think if Boston plays Cleveland or LA it will be muted.

Pierce has shown he can guard Kobe about as well as anyone, so put Pierce on Kobe for the entire series. Defeating the Lakers and Cavs without home court will be a challenge, but I'm optimistic.

Thanks Big DAVE FROM NB for rubbing it in....you want to add some salt to that too while your at it........ Lollll
I mean it seems like the Lakers are the only team these days that seem to give up big leads.......... RIGHT?? Arent they, or is there other teams that you might know that have the same problem too???
Is there, any you can think of right of the top of your head????
Im sure the Celtics dont have that problem, do they??? You know losing to a team full of scrubs.
At least the sixers are fighting for a playoff spot.

Do I think the Celtics have a chance of beating he Cavs in the play-off? Yes I do because they done it before. However WILL they beat the Cavs? Who knows and I'm not going to sit here and say Yes they Will becasue last season with a much better Celtics team who had homecourt it still took two Paul Pierce free throws and also a PJ Brown 15ft jump shop make to beat the Cavs last season

Now the Cleveland is a much improve team who is playing with that same hunger that the Cs played with last season. You would be lying to yourself if you don't think Cleveland is a much improve team for last year and that the Celtics are a little weaker as a team this season.

To me the Celtics are a question mark going into the play-offs. We still don't know how healthy KG is and will be for the rest of the season and through the play-offs? I hope if it comes down to Boston vs. Cleveland that the Celtics Win. But I will be going into that series with some doubt because I've seen most of the Cavs game and I'll tell you the do have a homecourt advantage and I would be shock if the Celtics go in and win A game. To me is not so much about how the Cavs play at home but now the refs calls their home games. Any close game and it will go Clevelands way. What is has to happen is that the Cs have to be on fire from the field. To me it just too many thing going against the Cs. That is why if the win the championship this year I would be more impress with this championship then last year.

Nope your not the only one. It was very recently that the C's beat Lebron and company without KG. Even though that's one game I'd say the possibility exists that with KG we can still beat them. The C's have a scheme for matching up with Lebron and company and it seems to work well enough.

I'd say its contigent on us having the GOOD Ray Allen not the one who can't guard John Salmons and can't hit uncontested Js..

I remember the Lakers losing to the Kings early on. Teams with "scrubs" don't make the playoffs, so it's how you match up against the good teams that matters.

MIL and CHI are fighting for a playoff spot. The last one, with a .5 game separation. They are the desperate teams.

PHIL is pretty much locked in at 6th. Breathing room between them and 7th as well as them and 5th... so they're not particularly fighting for anything. They just showed up and saw that the Lakers weren't that good that night and in the end made the last shot.

At least we only have 2 laker fans posting in this thread these days. Hell if they believe the Celt's can't beat CLE.. shouldn't they be posting in the CLE thread then? Following CLE? I mean the Celts can't beat CLE so no reason to sweat BOS. Right?
