Things look bleak, and there are storm clouds gathering, but I feel like everything is just where it needs to be. This team is getting battered by injuries, the refs, the media, and even the league. They are in a perfect position to struggle through thier issues and band together for a late run to the championship.

We are in a perfect position to play David to Kobe and Phil's smug overconfident Goliath. Just like last year when everyone mysteriously picked the Lakers in 5 games. This time we'll beat them on thier home floor and solidify the greatness of these players.

Every season has it's highs and lows. I think the timing for this low is pretty good if we can get everyone healthy and get rolling going into the playoffs, I'd be more concerned if we had 4 games left than what we have left. This is still a great team when healthy, things will come around again. I'm spoiled enough from this season and the last that losing starts to worry me, but I have faith that the green machine will be rolling again when the real season starts.

It is not like the Celtics are being exposed. They has a bunch of relatively minor injuries all at the same time. KG will be back soon. Powe will hopefully be back soon. Baby will be back. And the Celtics will be fine. If the Celtics had just one of the Baby/KG/Powe group the Celtics get some defensive rebounds last night and win that game.

and don't forget Tony who is going to be a defensive x factor that will spell Ray at the 2 spot (this is the ancient reptilian section of my brain stem speaking, not the cerebrum) and then there's the improved, pistol whipped, Scals...he really could've made a difference in our toughness lately.

Injuries hurt. Once this team is back at full strength, the sky's the limit. Sure, losing these games to sub-.500 teams (and big rivals) hurts, but it won't matter, because the Celtics are playoff-bound regardless.

I'll be staking out a spot near the Tip O'Neil building. I had to work during the parade last year, but I don't want to miss this one.
