That never gonna be a star JT only has 10/7 at halftime. McCants and Garcia have been playing well. Natt hasn't crushed any rallies yet. We were down 10 and didn't panic and battled back which is a good sign.

Disappointing loss...but that is what we've come to expect this season. McCants looked pretty damn good on both ends of the floor IMO, until he went down with an injury of course. Decent demonstration of what he could bring to the team in the future.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Diogu finally hit the floor! Overall the effort was shaky at times, this team is clearly completely down and out right now. Another solid game from Jason, tremendous effort out there as always. Spencer has really been invisible the last couple of games and just threw up a performance that would make Mikki Moore jealous.
Rashad with the terrific game, I wonder if they'll bring him back or not and how much it's going to cost. He'd be a solid 6th man type moving forward in the least.

Oh my God I'm so hungover that I totally missed the game. Glad to hear that McCants played well. He's looking like a keeper.

Settle down, he finished with 12 and 11. Solid game from a role player.

I would love a double double from the starting PF spot every night
Show me the "role" players that do that and I will show you some damn good role players

Give or take role players that hover around 10/10- Haslem, Perkins, Varejao, K Martin, McDyess, Biendrins, Scola, Murphy, Kaman, Odom, M.Gasol, Bogut, Chandler, Kristic, Dalembert.
No all stars, but solid role players around 10/10. Jt should aim for Antonio McDyess as a career goal (before the injuries). JT is the definition of a future solid role player. Plays with energy, works hard, but doesn't have the makings of a star.

When you say role player, how average will he be? I kinda see him as a lamarcus aldrage in a year or two and i see Kevin martin as a really good roll player on a good team. Are you saying hes just short of an all star, or are you saying he will be a reggie evans role player?

Re: Kings @ Bobcats
The only reason JT is role player is the same reason Tyler Hansborough doesn't have a national title. Because Kenny Natt is a grown up version of the choker Ty Lawson. Lawson singlehandled lost the game for UNC last year 5 minutes into the game because Tyler was stopped 2 times in a row. Lawson panicked and went 1 on 5 an turned a 6 point deficit into a 30 point lead for the other team. Kenny Natt is our Lawson. You seriously don't think JT is as good as Brad Miller at this moment, are you kidding me? Natt is not discliplined enough to stick to the plan. When we stuck to the plan we were tied when Natt panicked down by 20 again. Natt is garbage coach and wiil not be back. We need a coach who will stick to the plan of going through the big guys. Natt has screwed up the same way in every game of the road trip. Here is JT's first half touches 5 of 6 shots in the second half he got 3 touches with Hawes going for 2/0 and we lost big again. Even Jerry Reynolds in the postgame was asking why they didn't go to JT more. Natt is a panicker, let him let some other team have their gaurds shoot them out of the game, the loses speak for themselves.

I say role player as a solid starter, but not someone to build a team around. He is someone to hang in the background and do the dirty work. Im not sure he will get to that Aldridge level, but we can hope. I see him more a Luis Scola than an Aldridge. Guy works hard, can occasionally put up big number, and averages a solid 13/9. I think JTs best years will be around 16/10 at most - Solid but not all star.
Blake Griffin on the other hand, I can see having a Amare Stoudamire type impact. He could be a 15/10 guy next year for the kings. And top out around 26/13. Griffin is the star that this team needs and begs for. I like what JT brings night after night, but when draft time comes and we hopefully sit atop the draft board, the obvious best pick is Griffin. Then JT becomes a solid trade piece to help build another week position on our team.

1st: Kenny Natt is no coach. And no one will disagree with that. He does panic and no one expects to have him coaching the kings next year.
2nd: The bigs do need to get more touches, but unfortunantly neither is capable of having an offense run through them yet. Our offense is so screwed up and stagnant. We don't move, or set screens, or cut. We have no offensive game plan.
3rd: I hated Brad Miller towards the end and just saw a lazy player. I would take one hustle guy like JT over 100 Millers.
4th: I really wish Jason was as good as you think he was. The fact is he is just not a super player. This is not an attack on Jason, I think he really tries, just he is not the greatest basketball player I have ever seen. He is an average power foward, not someone to build around. Maybe he improves to that level, maybe he doesn't, but I think his cap maybe where Griffin is this second.

Re: Kings @ Bobcats
Maybe that was why UCLA recruited JT ahead of Kevin Love because of his Luis Scola level ability?
Kenny Natt let Garcia chuck up 20 (7 of 20) shots and Beno 14 shots (4-14) and Donte 2 of 12 Rashard got 20 but JT finished 6 of 9 but only touched the ball 3 times in the 2nd half. Natt is a joke, he has regularly mismanaged JT the entire year and choked away wins all season. Even Jerry Reynolds after the game couldn't believe JT didn't get more touches as well as he played.
I can promise you Geoff Petrie will not trade JT. Why does Tim Duncan have 3 rings since only big guys can win? Because the best player wins games for you and JT has the heart to be a top level player no matter the size. 3/4 of the top 20 NBA big guys in the league right now had JT like stats their first year. We still need a PG #1 and a coach who doesn't panic and we will be back on track.
The rebuilding plan is set. We need to stick to the plan or we will continue to rebuild for a decade.

OK, you remember Gooden4life? You can change your name to Thompson4Life because you defend and idolize him to an irrational extent. Yes, they need more touches. Yes, Natt sucks.
No, Thompson is no Kevin Love. THEY WERE NOT EVEN THE SAME RECRUITING CLASS. Did you know that Jt is a few years older in school than Love? Thats just unbelievable ignorance.
Stop the Thompson/Duncan comparison. Its just rediculous.
NO WE DO NOT PASS ON GRIFFIN FOR TEAGUE, or any other point guard. Team need takes a back seat to best available player at the top of the draft. If our "rebuilding plan" is to take a point guard instead of the player that makes us the best team, then we are screwed. Thats just another rediculous thought.
Man, i cant do this anymore. You are becoming more Thompson4Life by the day. I wish you and JT the best, I too hope he becomes a star, but not going to bet the farm on it. I really mean no offense by anything I just wrote.

Sorry that I have an opionion different from yours, sir, you are obviously God's gift to pretend GM's. No offense to what I wrote.
Thompson was recuited before Love, but UCLA recruits the best big guy in all of California and the country and chose to recruit both Love and JT, and not because of their Luis Scola level talent. Sorry about the facts that 3/4 of NBA star big guys have had a rookie year like JT's.

You do not use facts at all. Love going to UCLA has nothing to do with Thompson (who ended up at a small school-Rider).
