OT - PTI

Post#1 » by Jer15Jer » Tue Mar 17, 2009 9:44 pm

Hey guys,

Just watching PTI and they just went off on Toronto. But not like you think.

They love it. Said it's a great city. Defended it. After Chipper Jones was upset he was spending his week in TO for the baseball classic. Basically called him an idiot, how much better TO is than Atlanta, and Vegas actually. Calling out all American athletes.

It was nice to see. The prevailing theory is that TO gets no love from the American media. Thought I'd pass on the TO love.

Probably still bitter about the Jays beating the Braves in '92.

Chipper Jones is a moron. He basically said there's nothing to do in Toronto...what? If there's nothing to do in Toronto then I dunno wtf he does in Atlanta.

Also, PTI may be American media, but they always acknowledge Canada as well as hockey too.

And the PTI guys definitely gave big ups to TO. For me it just reiterated that they are the #1 sports show out there, followed by PTI. Those dudes are real characters!

I have always wondered why athletes complained about coming to Toronto, Canada. It's a great city, and if they got out there and found out what it's worth, they would probably like it. If you just stay in you hotel room and sulk about being in Canada, of course it's not going to be fun.

Chipper is just being a hater. ;)

FYI - Chipper called T.O. cow town....

Wilbon defended Toronto and said it is one of the best cities he has visited and he said toronto is better than Atlanta and compared the night life to vegas...

Maybe when the team got off the plane at the start of their trip, they went to Hooters and it brought back bad memories for Chipper which ruined his week here....

Anyone who has visited all North American sport cities for years and thinks Toronto blows is a complete moron. Then again, Chipper is a good ole boy from Macon Georgia so there was probably a little too much variety here in Toronto for his liking.

Haha, can someone fill me in on what happened to Chipper back in '92? (Besides losing the WS of course.)

Chipper Jones wasn't even on the team in 1992. I'm not sure why people are talking about that.

Do a bit of reading on Jones and you'll understand the Hooters reference.

Can't find anything that has to do with Chipper and Hooters. I'm getting curious.
