Playoff Roster?

Post#1 » by Red2 » Sat Mar 21, 2009 3:15 am

Assuming scal ,tony and leon all make it back the pruitt, walker and Giddens would be off the playoff roster but if either scal or tony don't come back then I think walker gets the call over Pruitt barring injury to one of the guards. Giddens may very well spend next year in the D league as well. right now he's stealing money from the celts

Power forward: KG,Leon,Scal
Small Forward: Pierce, T. Allen
Center: Perkins,Davis,Moore
Point Guard: Rondon,Marbury
ShootingGuard: ray, eddie
"Now, there's a steal by Bird..!"

Hopefully that will be the list. If Tony or Scal can't finally make it then there is Walker waiting. I don't think Pruitt would be included in that situation

I don't see Tony returning this season. He'll be rusty and probably will play inconsistently if he's cleared to return during the playoffs. Conversely, I'm curious to see whether or not Scalabrine will return before the regular season concludes. As said, he at times this season played well. His starts in place of an injured Garnett were admirable. You probably would prefer to get both players back, but I don't expect it to happen. Both are a X-factor in the playoffs.

I going to say that the twelve active players for the playoffs will likely be...

Forwards - Garnett, Pierce, Scalabrine (if cleared), Powe, Davis and Walker
Centers - Perkins and Moore
Guards - R. Allen, Rondo, House and Marbury

Inactive players - T. Allen, Pruitt and Giddens.

TA plays inconsistently anyway. I expect him to be on the playoff roster and part of the rotation ahead of House depending on the matchups. TA has a thumb injury on his nonshooting hand, so once he is ready to come back he should be in good enough shape to play the minutes that we need him to play. I also think that he'll come back for the last few regular season games so hopefully he shakes some of the rust off then. We'll need him because there's a lot of good wings that we could be facing - Wade/Hamilton/Igoudala possibly in the 1st round, Turkoglu in the 2nd, Lebron in conf. finals and Kobe/Manu in the finals.
