Moron Check.

Dixon is injured and not available tonight.

Yeah, the philosophical term for that is Ockham's razor, that is the simplest explanation for something is usually the right one: "When multiple competing hypotheses are equal in other respects, the principle recommends selecting the hypothesis that introduces the fewest assumptions and postulates the fewest entities."

Yeah, I had to let that one go. Maybe he was referring to Jim Moran?

Actually, this team is far from garbage. We are just very injured. Added to the season long injury list for tonight game were CB and Dixon.

Even as injured as the Clips have been this year, we have been more. We are #1 at something and it's injuries.

How we play is going to be what it is until we get some players back.

Currently out - GA, CB, BH for starters. Next in line are Dixon, ET, DS

Look, they have a seasoned PG. Our best PG is DMAC. Does that help put things in perceptive.
They have a 3 point specialist. Closest we have is NY.

While I'm happy to see Nick playing better, now it seem Critter has had a run of a few bad games. Such is the ways of young players. Some are up while other fall back.

I wish people would stop with the Tapps sucks and this team is garbage. We aren't going to win many games with the players we have available so just look for the glimpses of success from individuals and dream of the future when we are healthy.

There was lots of good to take form this game. Nick had a nice game. So did Blatche. McGee did some good things and is a freak. He just still can't play that great of post D. DMAC was alright also but stopped playing PG down the stretch. DSong and AJ also had nice games. We looked good in the first half. But a line with the players we have available isn't likely to pull it off for a whole game. As things get tighter on D, younger player make more mistakes.

We just don't have a go to player in the post or from outside to stem to tide down the stretch. You aren't going to win much in this league without players like that. Luckily we have those things when healthy.

Big picture.

2nd in a back to back on the road.
No GA, CB, BH, ET, Dixon, or DS

I'm pretty sure that has more to do with the loss then any head coach.

Young players logged good minutes
We got the loss.

That is what we want. Be happy you got to at least see one half of entertaining ball with your young playing doing a few good things and stop blaming Tapps for not doing exactly what you would want with this very depleted roster.

Only thing I'm at all bummed about is that OP didn't see at least 5 minutes.

GilArenas88 wrote:Blatche, McGee, Young, and McGuire all played well tonight. Critter has looked lost the last few games, he really needs to improve that jumper of his. If McGuire can, he certainly can. The lane will open up for him so much more if he can prove he can knock down the jumper. I would have liked Pecherov to get some minutes out there considering he played decent last night. Don't get me wrong I'm not super high on Pecherov, but in the same breath he's never been really given a constitent 10-15 game to prove himeself. Maybe if he was able to play threw his mistakes, learn, and develope in-game he could be a servicable big off the bench. Who knows, he has gotten zero oppurtunity.

As for the vets I liked how Jamison was playing until the fourth were he became Chucktawn. He was dishing, rebounding, and at one point was like 8-17. James just isn't a pg in the least, and his jumper only shows up every 5th game. Songalia has been playing well lately, like I expected him to play when he got here. Finally it seems we've lost another guy to the injury bug in Juan. Which stinks because he has been playing well as of late. I'm curious to why Juan has got so many DNP's this season. Yeah he has his flaws, but what I seem to remember from this season for the most part he's been pretty solid when playing.

We played two and a half quarters of decent ball, well decent for us this season, then totally went into playing one-on-one. I still hate to see that Jamison is the only "big" that gets the ball in the post. Whenever McGee or Dray ask for the ball in the post players just look right threw them. We need to get our young bigs more good position post looks. Let the tanking continue...

Most balanced post I've read yet. You did make me remember AJ is the first half. He did look different with some amazing passes. That one feed to AB was awesome. AJ had 7 assist which may have been a season high. Actually he almost posted a triple double if he could have gotten 3 more assists.

It has been entertaining to see the team play without CB so more younger players can contribute. But the downside is less talent to turn to down the stretch. This is about all you we are going to see given the players we have. But it's a learning experience which is what we want our younger players to get.

I doubt if we have Haywood and GA that we wouldn't have have won.
Even having Etan and Dixon would have helped a lot.

No biggy. I enjoyed the first half.

The fact that they missed Dixon shows the horrific state of the team's current backcourt. That was probably the worst defense by a backcourt that I've ever seen. When their guards weren't penetrating at will, they were getting wide open 3's. It was a disgrace. And if not for DMac's efforts, it would have been even worse - hard as that is to believe. Critter and Young made good cases for not being on the team next season. People are going to look at the box score and say - Young shot well, so he had a good game.

That wasn't NBA caliber basketball.

For a second, I thought that tapps had actually figured out a lineup that would win, but sure enough the tanking continued when McGee got pulled for Songaila to (according to the clippers announcers) add some toughness in the middle

This was the first game I've seen in a few weeks, and I'm kind of glad that it was. I got to see the young guys play a phenomenal game while also seeing us choke at the end and score 11 points in the 4th quarter.

Crit, Mike James, NY, Blatche and McGee started the fourth.

The line up you mentioned played like 1 minute to end the first.

To start the 4th we were down 2 and keep it that way until the 5 minute mark. 103-105. We never led once the whole quarter.

McGee did play 2 minutes to start the forth and replaced by DSong but the lead never changed as a result of the subbing. McGee went out at 9:51 97-101. Actually the LAC lead went up from 2 to 5 while he was in for those 2 minutes.

We got it back down to 2 until the 5 minute mark. 103-105.

Blatche got muscled in the post once by Zach for 2 pts at the hoop.
After that James and NY chucked a couple long balls. NY fouled someone.
AJ missed his patented right side post flip shot and then AJ, NY and James allowed an easy post shot.

At 3:09 mark. 103-111 Blatche came out. He had played the whole quarter. It became a blow out after that.

We never once lead in the 4th let alone by 8-10 pts.
Removing McGee did not blow your make believe lead as he only played like 2 minutes to start the quarter and the lead increased while he was in all be it only be 3. Up from 2 to 5 pts down.

I guess never let facts get in the way of a good Tapps bashing. A1

They all had pretty good games until the 4th quarter.

Not sure what happened, but they stopped sharing the ball and basically tossed the ball to Jamison on every trip down the court.

Back to the game.

I can't believe I stayed up until O-dark-hundred to watch the entire freaking game. I think this entire board could outcoach ET -- to my eyes, he wanted to lose on purpose. Really.

I can't believe I wasted an hour that I'll never get back in my life to post all of those pictures of Clipper Dance Team girls.

All for nothing.

Life sux.

Well, to be (un)fair to DMac -- he left a few shooters open for 3 as well. I'm pretty sure he left that kid Gordon open for 3 a couple of times. But I don't blame the guards 100% for that...they've been told to slump off their man.

Beware. The Clipper repositioning team is in full swing. The Pistons minus Iverson, Stuckey, Hamilton and Sheed even knocked off this lotto hungry machine. Happy tanking.
