Commissioner's Note:

I wanted to make sure everyone realized... You are not just signing a head coach, but rather a 3 man coaching staff... I never clarified how many assistants, when I said coaching staff. I want to have 1 coach and 2 assistants per team.

So far I have only had two offers for a coach... both being for Greg Popovich... currently the best offer on the table for Pop is 6.0m. We are currently in a 48 hour period in which you can offer Pop a better contract. There is only about a little over a day left until this transaction is completed.

since we don't have a cap yet, thats going to be a difficult process.

i'm publicly offering greg popovich, tom thibodeau, and byron scott 25 million, each.

how is the cap 75 million? I thought that it was the average of the draft plus 40 mil?

75 million is the sum of those 3 SARCASTIC contract offers that cash put up...

The cap hasn't been established... However, after thinking about it... GM's make signing before the cap is set every year... Im going to allow signings before the cap is set.. Its going to be risky for those who do... Let me remind you. You have to have 12 players to win the game... If you sign a coach now for 6,7,8m... you could be really hurting yourself.

I kinda agree that we shouldn't start signing coaches till after we have the salary cap set but maybe we could do something like this, you have 10 million to sign a coach and 2 assistants right now? or just wait till the drafting is done, cause in the NBA coaches salaries don't count against the cap.

Don't do coaches now, do them after you draft players, and then you can further decide how you would like to break it down, with a separate cap for coaches, or a new amount including them. That's just my opinion of course.

After discussing it with Cellar we have decided to go ahead and do the coaches now. However, the salaries of the coaches will be figured into the average salaries.
Also, we would like all coaching moves made prior to the end of the draft.... Mascot still has an offer to Pop for 6m which will be finalized tomorrow at 7pm CST.

For free agency if a guy isn't drafted he eligible to be picked up. But lets say Lewis goes undrafted if I want to pick him up do i ave to pay him 20 mill? Or are all contracts negotiated?

All FA contracts are negotiated... Drafted players will go by Shamsports.com.... Coaches contracts are negotiated
