OT - Is there a secret feud between Shaq and Wade?

Just really curious, perhaps this belong on the Miami board but I don't want to hear a Wade love respond. I am pretty sure my fellow Laker fan will have better inputs.

I only notice this via youtube and some google searching, I did not even know all of this happened until I saw this random video browsing on youtube.

Shaq just glared at him like Kwame glared at Boris Diaw. Was Shaq just playing with his former teammate? Didn't look like Shaq was....

This kind of does make sense because Shaq has been praising Kobe many times as the best player in the NBA this past year. In the past Shaq use to diss Kobe and say Wade is the best, why a change of tune? I mean not he doesn't even mention Wade through the media, he only talks about Kobe. Perhaps Wade is now getting the same treatment both Penny and Kobe got. Wade is having the best season in his career so far and Shaq has yet to say one word about it, seems odd to me since they were supposedly "Big Bro Lil Bro" relationship.

It really wouldnt surprise anyone if there was a serious feud between the two. When was the last time Shaq was willing to take a backseat to anyone? Sure, Wade was a top three player in the league while Shaq was about half as good as he used to be, but Shaq would still want to be the top dog. As much as all the analysts loved Shaq and hated Kobe, it is now for them to take a look at those two guys again. Shaq has been a feud lightning rod everywhere he went while Kobe only had problem with one Shaq and nobdoy else. Who is the real jerk here?

It appears to me that for Shaq if there is no incentive to being friends with someone then he doesn't care to be. Once he won a championship with Wade and was on the way out, he didn't care about their relationship anymore. Now that he wants back in LA he's talking about Kobe. He's sneaky.

I don't think there was a feud, but it is highly likely Wade and Shaq has severed their ties once he left the team.

shaq did the same to duncan last year from what I remember didnt help him up after a knockdown, probably just friends off the court, on the court its different

Well if there really is, I don't think people would be surprised about this.

But like people have mentioned, I do think Shaq wants to get back with the Lakers since they are winning. If Kobe wins the ring this season, Shaq has 4 and Kobe will have 4 and Shaq will say something like "We won 1 without each other, now we can get back to winning more than 1 with each other".

At the end of the day, I don't think Shaq would want any of his "sidekicks" to have more rings than him...including Wade, Kobe, and lucky for him Penny didn't win any.

Shaq smiles when Wade is on the ground, and it looks like he's trying not to smile when he's standing during the freethrows...that is until Heat fans start chanting "Shaq Sucks" or whatever it was... :lol:

I think Shaq is always half-joking, IMO.

i knew somthing was up the minute they traded shaq. you know they had to ask wade what he thoughtand wade obviously gave the go ahead...typical shaq,but i wouldn't mind having him back up bynum next year...

Shaq has learned that he gets criticized more for his dises now that he is up there.

He can STILL dis Van Gundy and others but his limit is Bosh on an off year.
There is no way he can dis Wade this year. He liked Wade but wanted it to get done more and after the Bulls sweep stuff must have been said.

yeah, i noticed some tension between them when the teams met.. Maybe shaq thinks he got traded because of wade... The same with Kobe during that time... hrmmm...

They'll mend things hehe, next year they'll probably share the all-stars mvp trophy.. then wade will let him borrow it etc etc etc lol jk
