Absolutely. I've heard Malone, Boozer, Barkley, and Amare Stoudamire. Seems you can't go wrong with any of those guys. He is just a beast, and works hard on top of it. Most dominate college big man I have seen in a while. Even Greg Oden was not this dominate. I predict a very bright future.

Right now I'd still say a cross between Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudemire (sandwiched in there size wise as well) but today he showed me some things in the post. He finally just went through guys down there, most games he is really quick on the pass out.

Another guy I wouldn't mind seeing us draft with that Rockets pick is Damion James. He has really gone from a guy that last year was pretty much an undersized PF to a true combo F. His perimeter skills have come a long, long way.

Griffin is a BEAST. Some of those dunks he did yesterday...wow. I was at a bar watching Sportscenter last night, and after they showed one of Griffin's highlights (one of many), some random guy yelled "FUTURE SACRAMENTO KING!!!"

It gave me goosebumps :P

I've been saying this all along. I do not get the people that say no to drafting him because we have Jason Thompson. Griffin is a beast, and a star. He will single handedly sell tickets at arco, and lead us to a respectable team.

I've never said we shouldn't draft JT because of Griffin. JT would be a fantastic bench man, or maybe a starter if the pieces fall right. But honestly, I just want someone who can posterize people. Thats Griffin. We haven't had that in years.

O no I wasn't talking about you. I just think some people would rather target the wild card Rubio with the first pick because we have Thompson. I think that is absurd. I think JT would make a great trading chip, maybe for a proven SF or something (once we get Flynn/Maynor/ etc) with our Houston Pick.

Early Sunday:

Flynn vs. Harden:

Flynn: Had a quiet game, but finished with a decent 11 and 7 assists on only 6 shots with only 2 turnovers. He did show his incredible atleticism with a late game windmill dunk, and showed his quickness throughout the game. He impressed in other aspects besides stats. Glad to see him move on this tournament to get a little more time to assess his game.

Harden: On the other hand Harden has looked putrid, and unfortunantly for him he is eliminated from further tournament play. He finished 10/6/5 on 2/10 shooting, but he was lucky to get those stats, because he was just embarrassing all day. His draft stock is falling quickly after this tournament showing. He went from possible 2nd pick, to maybe considering another year of college.

More to come throughout the day including... Blair, Alrdrich, Hill, Budinger, Derozen, and more.

Lets just hope to hell we have the option of saying no to drafting him instead of bitching about what could've been. Next up for him is the big boys of Syracuse, that will be an eye opening experience and a very good test for Blake.

Or at least it gives us a great backup plan if we're able to land Griffin and he does go bust. We also most likely get the Rockets pick and there should be plenty of talented players for Petrie to get there as well so we would at least not end up with nothing.

And I for one can't really explain it, well I can a little bit, but even though he has a tendency to fade until late he has looked completely disinterested the whole tourny. He once again turned it on late to an extent but by that time it was too late. One main problem was the coaching IMO. They had Harden playing the middle of the zone while he should have been playing the top or the corners. By playing the middle they completely set him for nothing more than decoy duty and his game and the whole teams game suffered immensely. That zone gave Arizone state fits when it really shouldn't have, when you have the perimeter threats they have they should have just shot the ball instead of trying to get inside all day long.

An off day for the big tourny, but a great opportunity to watch some good guards go head to head in the NIT. Davidson vs. Mills brings an intriguing match up of possible point guards that could fall into the Kings lap. I usually do not watch NIT but this should be a really good match up.

Actually, I'd say it's "Curry vs. Saint Mary's", because unlike Curry, Mills has a team built around him.

Watch the NIT matchup tonight. Honestly, it's gonna be a monster game, the entire school is already completely 100% focused on tonight. I'm gonna be questioning every scout I can on their opinions on Mills while writing my article.

But realistically, neither of these point guards SHOULD be at the Rockets pick. It is my educated and hoenst opinion that when it's all said and done, Mills will be back here at SMC next year, and while I'd love to see Curry fall to the Rockets pick, it's just not likely.

LOL sorry. I meant to put Curry vs. Mills. My bad. Anyways, I think Mills jumps with his post olympics performance on everyones mind come draft time, and Curry's could become an after thought in the lottery after Davidson failed to make the tourney. But of course that is not Curry's fault, he lacks players on his team, but still look back over the last couple of years and see how many players, that failed to make the tournament, had draft value just plumit. I think either one would be a great King. Look forward to your insight after the game Lightning.

It will be nice to see the game tonight. I think St. Mary's not making the real tourney and not even being put as the #1 seed will motivate them to take out Davidson. If we get Griffin with that first pick and then land Mills with that 2nd first rounder would be an ideal situation.

The more I hear about Ty Lawson, the more I think he would be great to get with the Houston pick if he's still there and of course if we didn't get Rubio with the early pick.

I have been studying and watching the tourney. Griffin has been great but we only have a 25% chance of getting him so I wouldn't get too attached yet.

Teague did play badly but was trying to do too much with a young Wake team who still beat UNC once with a clutch performance. Like Bibby if he is not the center of the team I think he can be a great clutch guy.

Reynolds was incredible and a guy we should be interested in. The ESPN people had him listed in the undrafted range earlier and he has been close to Chauncey Billups clutch performer.

Collison is very good he is good but won't be appreciated in the pros (3 final 4s and a sweet 16 at UCLA) like Nate Robinson isn't right now. He just does the little things and is a winner but he is going to be around later.

Lawson has been very good let's see if he sticks to the plan. Hansborough could have went 1 on 1 with Griffin to improve his draft status but stuck to the plan and won because of it. Lawson has looked very good but his team is loaded so it is kind of the apples and oranges between him and other PGs. I don't know I would use the first for him but well see how he finishes out. Will they play any close games?

Holiday looked good also and would be a good pick and looks like he will be a very solid player and we would probably be a late choice.

I did really like Evans also he was impressive as well. I think the game in the 80's a PG was a 7-10 Assist guy and now they are 4-6 assist guys with more scoring offensive focus. It doesn't mean any of those guys couldn't play in in our system as long as they get the ball to the big guys and can hit clutch free throws and shots.
