LEBRON IS NOT JORDAN.kobe is closer to jordan.lebron is the second coming of magic.
therefore he needs a kareem.but kobe has the closest thing to kareem type in pau.
a pipen type would be granger, batum, and maybe wilson chandler.

lol at comparing pau to kareem. im not sayin lebron is jordan but its clear he needs a pippen caliber player. nobody can win the title alone. lebron has the most talented team hes ever had this year. but if hes going to win multiple championships hes gonna need another star beside him for a long duration of his career that is where the comparison comes from. would it make you feel better if i said whos the robin to lebrons batman?

LeBron's best sidekick would be a PF. Because he handles the ball so much, unlike Jordan who wouldn't really handle the PG duties. LeBron basically handles the PG duties, and gets everyone involved, therefore a PF in the mold of Amare, Bosh, Boozer would be the best sidekick to LeBron, because LeBron will create a ton of space for them and the PF would create a ton of space for LeBron.

Also i don't know how your offense really works, but could you imagine a pick-and-roll with LeBron and this PF, that would be as close to unstoppable as you could get.

can you think of anyone closer to having kareem's type game in the league currently than pau? lebron does not need a pippen.LIKE PIPPEN WAS, lebron is a point forward. He's a facilitator.a good center or post presence would be a better fit for leborn jackass.

i think he and a healthy boozer would have won a championship by now.

Tim Duncan. just cuz pau is 7 foot and plays for hte lakers does not make him similar to kareem. there are no players similar to kareem but if i were to pick mr duncan would be closer then pau. also your missing the point. its whos the peanut butter to his jelly, whos the robin to his batman......the pippen to lebrons jordan implies lebron is the go to guy who is his sidekick. its not saying lebron is jordan.

Good post. Agree with this. Lebron meshes best with PF's who can finish.

TIM DUNCAN? tim duncan and pau are practically carbon copies.only difference is duncan is better defensively and isn't a pussy like pau.

AND I'M MISSING THE POINT BUT JUST ABOUT EVERYBODY IN THIS THREAD PICKED A PIPPEN TYPE.

OK smart guy.

If I am choosing a person I am choosing a good inside-outside post player. I am definately not picking a PG and history shows you need some sort of post prescence. Minus the Bulls there arent many Champoions without post play. So with that said:

Post players:
1.Chris Bosh - First person who comes to mind because he like Pippen was good enough to take his team to the players but just doesnt seem like that guy. He seems to be missing something.

2. Lamar Odom- I think he would be perfect, only thing that holds him back is his age. And I like Odom because he would be able to run the ball with Mo on one side and Lebron on the other and he would be able to defer to Mo when he is hot. Good Post up, good range, matchup problem, and lefty.

3.Carlos Boozer- His range isnt as good as Bosh but his post game is better. But he is also injury prone and I think Bosh may have a little better defense.

4. Pau Gasol- Obviously his skill set is good to replace Z when he leaves.

Now if I was going for a wing:

1.Joe Johnson
2.Andrea Iguodala
3.Brandon Roy

I tried to make it reasonable an not grab some out of the park plyer just because.

Carlos Boozer

If those guys were on the same team somehow the Cavs would... JK
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

He also wants to play for your team.

I think Ariza would prefer to stay with the Lakers since he's from LA and played at UCLA. With that said he would be a good fit but the Cavs could only offer the MLE.

Return to Cleveland Cavaliers
