Players rotting on other teams' bench
Diaw,Radman,Gana.....
these players were at the end of the bench on the other teams or being hated,
and become gems as they had a small price tag.
So, we should look for more players like this.
Pavlovic?
Diener?
Wilkins?
Banks?
Crawford?
Reggie Evans?
Willie Green?
Dudley?
Diogu?
Frye?

Dudley sucks
Frye I totally agree. Crawford to.
Banks doesn't make sence unless we move a pg.
Wilkens is pretty good for a backup.

Re: Players rotting on other teams' bench
Ever since he played at NC state I liked Gerald Wilkins. Alot of these guys would be better than most of our bottom 5 players but what left do we have to trade?
Could we give up just a 2nd rounder for any of them. I would put them in this order of preference:
Pavlovic
W. Green
Wilkins
Crawford - Best player on list but he doesn't fit LB's system or many other NBA systems.
Frye
Dudley
Evans
Diogu
Pass on Diener and Banks

Frye is a good player with a low salary. Imagine if we had him instead of Mcmay. I don't know how easily Portland would give him up though. They treat on their roster like a gem and seem to think they can take our gold for their trash. Crawford could be great if Brown gets him to improve his shot selection and overall game.

Re: Players rotting on other teams' bench
one more time whats your opinion of Dudley, Dexmor?
Pavlovic is so-so. Would be a decent bench player, wouldn't produce the way the team would need him to. Glad this team dodged that bullet.
Diener- You mean Dan Dickau 2.0?
Wilkens is terrible. This isn't me trying to bash players, but he sucks.
Banks- Now we have the curveball. I think he can be a really good player in this league. He really doesn't fit with the Bobcats do. I would say he would make a good fit for the Pacers, Knicks, or even a team like the Cavs or Lakers where they wouldn't need him to a traditional PG.
How is Jamal Crawford a "rotting on the bench" player?
Reggie Evans- Way too much money for way too little production.
Again I ask you, How is Willie Green a "rotting on the bench" player?
Dudley- Wouldn't mind him, but I think Phoenix is going to continue to develop him in spite of Dexmors' hate for him.
Diogu- A lazy Corliss Williamson. No thanks.
Frye- This is someone I want this team to go after in free agency. Hes having the absolute worst year of his career and is pretty much in the doghouse, and I think all that is somewhat big mistake. I see Frye as a "1st big off the bench" kind of player and I think he would really work well with this team. I can honestly say that I wanted the Bobcats to trade their 13th pick in 2005 with something to move up and get Frye.

Correction: A very smart backup with little to no talent, but a lot of heart. I would gladly take him on my team.
And yes, if he can become a better shooter, he could develop into something more.
Humble yourself.

i dont think anyone is suggesting that we should get dudley because he might explode into a star. the thread was to target some players that would add nice depth to the team.
dudley would be great as an 8th man.

Re: Players rotting on other teams' bench
He wouldn't be our 8th man he would be 9th.
Mek/Diop
Diaw/Radman
Wallace
Bell
Felton/DJ
That is 8 guys. We don't need more frontcourt depth really we need backcourt depth, sg to be exact. We desperately need a sg and one that can play some point or sf would be nice but a 2 would be great.
I said we should get McCants and Sessions but it's to late for that.
Now I say we trade for JR Smith and Gerald Green. Defenately Gerald Green who can be had for cheap and he is more talented then almost everybody. Tons of potnetial with a guy like LB who can teach him he could be the next McGrady when he was a Magic.

Re: Players rotting on other teams' bench
Teams have been waiting on Gerald Green to wake up and become a star, 4 in 5 years to be exact.
Not sure what you expect from him, because if it's anything more than a few highlight dunks a year yor gonna be dissapointed.
LB couldn't teach JRich to be a more complete player, nor Morrison, Shannon Brown, Stephon Marbury, etc. What would be different with Green?

Exactly...Gerald Green is a clown. He would be best served signing a contract with the worst team he can find than maybe he can jack up jumpers and dunk and not anyone will give a damn that he can't defend and has absolutely zero basketball IQ.

Carney- Can't shoot to save his life.
Farmar- Better suited for the triangle offense. Here he would be a so-so backup.
Green- Harold Miner 2.0
Laundry- It does suck but you have to do it, otherwise you wouldn't have clean clothes.
Kirk- Was probably the best of the Star Trek Captains.
Wright- Whoever thought he was fake?
Frye- This ones been used already.

Re: Players rotting on other teams' bench
I think Crawford has the most potential on this list, but you know he's going to exercise his player option, which means you'd have to deal a $9M range player for him. He's hardly worth a Gerald Wallace. BUT, if we really wanted to get bigger on the front line and get a star SG, would you deal Crash & Okafor for Ellis, Biedrens and the Warriors lottery pick? If not their pick, could we throw in Nazr and demand Brandon Wright?
Starters:
Biedrens, Wright, Diaw, Ellis, Felton
Key Reserves:
Radman, DJ, Bell, Diop
Deep Bench:
Draft pick, Ajinca, swing guard FA
I know that's stirring the pot a lot, but I'd say Biedrens is as good or better than Okafor. Ellis is a big boost and potential star SG, allowing Bell to be a key reserve. Wright could give us improved rebounding at the 4 with significant minutes, while he and Diaw rotate assignments based on matchups. Diaw would most often play at the 3 spot.
Don't like Diaw at the 3? Trade Diaw instead of Crash with Mek.

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Farmar is better as a triangle pg? You clearly know nothing about the triangle offense. Farmar would explode if he didn't have to play backup pg in the triangle.
Carney can't shoot but he is young and when he learns to shoot he will be good. And he is a good prospect on the bench doing nothing.
Oh and your jokes are so corny.

And Green is worth it because of his rebounding. Plus when he was starting he was getting 15 a game on Dallas. Plus he is 22 years old. That is close to the same age as some of the rookies coming out this year.
