Possible ideas for off-season games:

The Tradition Game (pics of hott chicks :D )
GM a team--possibly 2 teams per person. Maybe combine the teams?
Mock/Re-draft from 2008 NBA draft
Funniest Youtube video (can't be one that is very popular and seen by a whole bunch of people)

Sorry, I hope I didn't sound like an ass or hypocrite there, I just thought something should be said just in case someone who doesn't know us well was offended or whatever. M4E, feel free to delete my post if you don't think it is whatsoever necessary.

Haha, dude there was absolutely nothing serious about that post. I don't even see how that would be an insulting thing though saying they are good with math...I mean, black guys don't usually get upset when someone assumes they have a huge *enter forum unfriendly word here*.

Anyway, obviously I didn't mean anything by it, so if anyone did take it that way, I apologize. Like you said, in the game chats we goof around with eachother, so for those who didn't understand that, I'm sorry.

I'm not offended at all, and I know you didn't mean nothing by it, but per board appropriate-ness, I'll edit out the iffy parts.

It would be wonderful if everyone could appreciate the uniqueness of all races and cultures, and not have it be a source for conflict, but as long as the possibility of that remains, we gotta ease in those jokes, even if you don't think people are going to see it (I mean, seriously, of all the Pacer fans I've met, I've only seen one Chinese one, and I see him in the mirror every morning).

I not into the whole "I don't see color" thing, but there is a time and place for awesomely funny racist jokes. Just not here.

Ooh yeah, I mean I have talked to you both online quite a bit and like it and know you were joking. Really the only reason I said something was for other people visiting our board that are Asian or new members. Some people take stereotypes very seriously. I know all of us 3 joke around a lot, but at the same time this is much more public than the chats and I don't want to turn away anyone else that doesn't find it as amusing as the daily posters.

CM4E, what does me of all people mean? I am a very serious poster. No jokes, strictly hoops. White men can jump!

Man I know I can't believe it was me of all people either and seriously I don't mean to sound like a jerk to any1.

Good news, though. I see M4E doesn't go to "stereotype" land. Well I actually live in Neverland, so I will NEVER grow up (the movie Hook, awesome movie)! I just like to say things every few years so people are like, "Wow, did chatard5 just say that?' Then my next post will be drunk bragging about how I picked Cleveland State vs. Arizona... Criiiiiipes!

I think it's funny that you say that is one of your favorite childhood movies and how you would've thought Happy Gilmore was really funny if you were younger and they are still some of my favorite movies.

Man, I haven't seen any of those all the way through. I have seen parts of MCV and FSM. I will have to check out FSM on this free site I go to that has a bunch of movies. They usually get new ones right away, but they don't have "I Love You Man" yet, and I think that looks pretty good.

At least the guy who works for a CD/DVD/BD replicator isn't a moderator any more.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

Is it illegal to download on something like Torrent and to watch them over the internet? I don't download them, but may or may not watch them over the internet for free. I thought it was just illegal to download them or upload them, but as we all know I have been wrong once or twice before.

There's nothing illegal about downloading torrents. A lot of them are free for bands and such that want people to hear their music and spread the word. If I mentioned specific torrents...then we are illegal. No moderating necessary CM4E! Now, when chatard and I begin our favorite discussions again...well...don't censor my ---.

Is anybody interested in playing Fantasy Baseball?

Post#17 » by chatard5 » Tue Mar 24, 2009 10:23 pm

I decided I want to play fantasy baseball. None of my friends play, though, they only play football and basketball (I think fantasy basketball sucks). Just seeing if anyone would be interested in joining a league if I made one. It's more fun playing with people/usernames you know than nobody you know, in my opinion. Plus it could be something kinda fun during the offseason to talk about. It's also kinda fun cause Indianapolis doesn't have a team, so many of us will have favorite teams.

Last time I played, I got 1st place, and I don't know anything about baseball. Seriously, my cricket and baseball knowledge is about similar, with a slight edge to baseball. I'm down, though. I'll do some research.

I am the torrent master. And I always seed more than I leech. The act of downloading and uploading is breaking laws, and as for watching them over the internet via illegal sources, that's illegal, too. And there are no legal sources for watching theatrical releases online, no matter how old. Unless you pay, which who wants to do that? My only thing is, the movie industry just had one of the most successful years ever, yet they are insistent on stopping the sharing. The real industries hit hard from P2P sharing: porn and music, the latter which I'm in school for, and the former which I'd definitely go to school for if it were an option. :D

I could be wrong, but isn't it bands, companies, etc. that are losing all the money with the music? They already have 10s of millions of dollars. It is unfair, but they make plenty of money already. Downloading music illegally is going to continue. I remember one band literally saying something along the lines of "Pay what you want for our CD and it's yours". That is just going to increase their popularity and ticket sales for concerts. Too bad for them the last 4 concerts I have been to I have gotten into for free. You gotta feel for those pornstars though. I sure want to feel a lot of them.

I started watching Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I agree, pretty funny. Not many "laughing out loud" moments, but still funny. The chick from That 70s Show is hotttt in it, and same with Sarah Marshall. I forget both of their names. I really like that European actor/whatever else he is, but only in doses. I like his role in this movie though. Paul Rudd is always awesome, and they have awesome actors with small parts like the page from 30 Rock (funny character; when he cussed a lot and had a sex scene I was speechless) and the mini Seth Rogen. Clearly I am horrible with names. I haven't seen the end yet, though, and the main character showing his junk in the beginning was not necessary.

How do these sites not get shut down? I know "people" that watch every new episode of Entourage on there that night. Plus they have a whole bunch of other shows and almost every new movie.

I found this one site that has almost every pro sports game and I am hoping that they have baseball games. Not so I could watch, obviously, but so my brother can watch and tell me what is happening. I can't even watch basketball games without doing something else. Baseball is 10 times worse. Still love watching the Cardinals any chance I get.
