Sorry if there is somewhere better to have this. Figured you guys might be the best people to ask. I am coming to visit Boston soon from Portland, and was curious the best place to go to try to find Red Sox tickets, be it stub hub, or something else maybe more well known by fans?
Also, any other suggestions of stuff not to miss when visiting would be appreciated. My first time out to Boston, and at the very least, I want to make sure to see Fenway before coming home. Thanks, any info is much appreciated.

craigslist is usually what I use, though there is a bunch of ways. I had heard there is still some tix available from the box office so try there first.
As for other stuff to do? Freedon Trail, Faneuil Hall, Celtics/Bruins/Patriots/college hockey games depending on the time of year. Get drunk.

Thanks. I checked the official website, but am unfortunately coming in next week, so I'll only end up being there for opening day, and then the following game. So those two looked to be sold out. I saw some on Stub Hub, and was going to probably purchase them, but just figured asking you guys in here couldn't hurt, in case there was a better place to go. Thanks for the suggestions of stuff to see as well. Much appreciated.

Oooh, that'll be a tough ticket to get. Worst case there will be people scalping outside, though that will be a nice chunk of change.

Yeah, it's a crappy time to try for it. I saw some bleacher seats for about 30-40 a pair that I'll probably end up getting. Might be overpaying, and might not be the best seats, but I'm more there for the stadium than anything. Who knows how often I'll get out to Boston, better see Fenway when I have the chance.

Nah, that is a good deal. Red Sox tix are in the highest of demand. Bleacher seats usually go for 20. So if you can get a pair just 10 dollars over face value, then I think it is a good deal.
Unless of course you are in last row center. Sitting right under that scoreboard can get annoying after the 4th inning.

Annoying from having to look up to see? Or does it create a loud buzzing noise and give off cancer rays?

But definitely, go see a game at Fenway. One of the best experiences. The seats are a little cramped, but you're going in april, not the blistering heat of august, so it won't be bad.
