Jazz @ Suns 8:30 MST ESPN

Post#1 » by carrottop12 » Wed Mar 25, 2009 9:09 pm

Back to back, at Phoenix, though the Jazz usually play well there, and no Amare. The Jazz really should win this game, and it would be a nice addition considering either New Orleans or Denver are guaranteed to lose tonight, it would be nice to pick up a game on either of them.

The Jazz have won 3 straight, and Phoenix has won 5 straight so it should be a pretty good match up.

We also play them again on Saturday night and a two game sweep would excellent.

Keys to the game:

Limit the TO's (Deron) and fast break opportunites.
Take smart shots to make it a half court game.
Don't let their role players get easy shots.

If the Jazz do that they should have a very good shot at winning this game.

I'm really not too worried about this game. For starters the Jazz usually play the Suns well and have won on their court last year as well as the year before. Barbosa, who lit up the Jazz last time they were in Phoenix is out so unless one of the old timers (Shaq, Hill, Nash) has a huge game we should be able to come out on top.

I think the key to this game is going to be bench production. Utah's bench is deeper and more talented and I would expect Knight, Korver, Millsap and Kirilenko to get the better of Dragic, Swift, Amundson, Lopez, etc. As long as we get off to a good start we should be alright.

Interesting fact the Jazz are 6-0 on nationally televised games.

I think its a nice advantage that the Jazz played with a lead pretty much the entire game last night against Houston. I think you have to expend a lot more energy if you're playing from behind and facing an uphill battle.

Guys should be pretty fresh with 3 days off before the Houston game, and then no one playing huge minutes.

Our bench should dominate their bench of no names.

We can win, definitibely. But it won't be easy, of course.

I like our 9 man rotation of that last games.

Let's go Jazz, let's go!

Tough game but I think it's also a 'good' road game for the team: challenging but winnable. We have to be able to win on the road against teams like the Suns if we have any pretensions in the playoffs.*

The Jazz haven't beat a .500 western conference team on the road, and all streaks must come to an end. COME ON!

Jazz win, I GUARANTEE IT!

Hornets lost, but I would rather Denver did. Hornets schedule is tough down the stretch, we will be higher than they are.

Good officiating so far, can't complain. Glad to see the Jazz respond to a slow start and stay in the game so far. As long as the Suns don't get a huge lead in the first quarter, I think we will be good.

LOL @ Hill whining. He wasn't touched. His first healthy season, he should be treated like a rookie if you ask me...

Deron off to a great shooting start. That is a very good sign.

That was a great foul by CJ. Barnes thought he had an excuse to fight for a second, no shivs allowed in the NBA buddy...
