What's up with this dude? I thought he could play some, but he's not even in the rotation. Is he hot garabage? Or can he still play? I want him on the Lakers for Vujacic next year. Thoughts.

Re: Damien Wilkins
I hear you man but if you have seen D. Wilkins play this year, can he still play? Why is he not in the rotation? Is he being blackballed or in the doghouse? What's the deal with this dude, who I think can be a solid defensive role player in the right role.

Re: Damien Wilkins
I think it's some combo of the youth movement and him just not being all that good. I mean we've got guys like Chucky and Malik logging some minutes, but Wilkins only gets PT if there's a foul or an injury. Haven't heard anything about him being in trouble with the coaches...

Re: Damien Wilkins
Behavior is definately not the issue. Wizkid's right about the youth movement. Wilkins is decent in his own way, but has limitations. Given why he isn't in the rotation much.

Re: Damien Wilkins
If Vujacic can shoot 40 percent threes and allow Westbrook to play off the ball a little, he might be a good cheap fit for a fiscally conservative team that needs some shooting from one of the guard spots to balance out the more defensive Weaver and Sefolosha.
He could be a good cheap fit (10 mill over two years after this one) and play well next to "The Hybrid" Westbrook.

Wilkins shot selection keeps him out of the lineup

Re: Damien Wilkins
I would agree that Sasha would be a better fit for the Thunder than Wilkins would be for the Lakers. However, I don't really like Sasha and aside from that, I'm not sure he would fit the with the rest of the team. There isn't a whole lot of inside-out or penetrate and pitch offense run with OKC, and that is how Sasha gets his looks.

Thank you for educated responses. From one basketball junkie to others. I disagree though about Wilkins on the Lakers. I think he'd be very servicable. I don't blame anyone for not wanting Vujacic or liking him as a player for that matter. If he's not making his shots like last year (45% from the field, 42% from three) he's pretty worthless, although he can play some point guard (he just can't guard them).
