I agree Houston is better without McGrady, because he's an AWFUL desicion maker and he has mental issues with that 2nd round virginity and he's not tough enough to get out of it...
That said... they are the ones that have to prove something, not us...

I have never seen someone try so little. If I was his size and build, I would pride myself on being able to knock pussies like barnes or amundsen to the floor, not make them look like co-defensive players of the year. I'm so sick of him. I thought he would come back and have some heart, but I haven't seen ANY. Jumpshot, blocked layup, brick, jumpshot, blocked layup, injury, miss 2/3 of the season, bocked layup, jumpshot. No defense to be seen anywhere.

The sad thing is that Locke will be defending him on the radio tomorrow, he isn't 100%, he is a premier PF, whatever the hell. I'm sick of it. Please trade his ass in the off season if he keeps playing like this.

Well at least we won't have to watch Carlos Loozer for any more after this season

Amen, I hope Utah resigns Millsap and goes for a guy like Brandon Bass or Leon Powe instead of bringing back Boozer. Save money to resign Ronnie Brewer who is worth more with what Boozer brings these days.

Boozer isn't going to opt out if he keeps playing like this. That's what I'm worried about.

In spite of the fact that T-Mac has never been out of the first round, the idea that the Rockets are better without him is absolutely absurd. It's undeniable that they've been better this year entirely without T-Mac than with a constantly injured T-Mac in and out of the lineup. However, there is no way they're better without a guy who, when healthy, is not only one of the league's most unstoppable perimeter scorers, but also a very good passer and a solid defender,
Without him, they're still a very good defensive team, but all they can do on offense is throw it into the post to Yao and shoot threes, which leads to some long dry spells. Artest is too busy jacking up ill-advised threes to exploit his size and strength advantages, Scola and Battier are nothing more than role players and Brooks would be best suited as a sparkplug backup point guard. Also, without T-Mac, they don't have anybody they can rely on to carry them in crunch time.
As bad as our road record is, I have almost zero doubt that we would beat the Rockets in a playoff series once again, with or without homecourt advantage. Their defense is good enough that they wouldn't go down easily, but, given how much trouble we've had defending T-Mac in the past, I find it hard to believe that anybody would rather face the Rockets with him playing at full health. Sorry that this is so long and has nothing to do with the Suns game, but I've been hearing the assertion that the Rockets are better without T-Mac a lot lately and it just strikes me as incredibly stupid, so I had to get my admittedly strong feelings on the matter out there.

Meh. It would have been really nice to win this one but I'm not to worried about it. Jazz just need to stay out of the 7th and 8th spot.

Am I the only one who's starting to think missing the playoffs altogether will do us more good than bad? I really don't care for a first round exit to the Spurs or Lakers, which is going to happen considering the toughness of our schedule.

If we miss the playoffs, we'll get about a 10-14th pick, and we'll have to make some adjustments in the offseason. I can't take this team serious any longer.

Hopefully he opts out, and no one is willing to pay him, and we get him for half the prize. I really don't care right now, I'm just thinking about next year and that 2010 pick from the Knicks.

with the financial crisis and his past, I don't think he will sign a better contract than he already has in jazz.

if he opts, probably jazz will sing him for a better contract for the team

tylero87 wrote:I'm really not too worried about this game. For starters the Jazz usually play the Suns well and have won on their court last year as well as the year before. Barbosa, who lit up the Jazz last time they were in Phoenix is out so unless one of the old timers (Shaq, Hill, Nash) has a huge game we should be able to come out on top.
I think the key to this game is going to be bench production. Utah's bench is deeper and more talented and I would expect Knight, Korver, Millsap and Kirilenko to get the better of Dragic, Swift, Amundson, Lopez, etc. As long as we get off to a good start we should be alright.

Interesting fact the Jazz are 6-0 on nationally televised games.

Well I guess it's fair to say I jinxed the Jazz last night. I said one of Phoenix's old timers would have to play great and Grant Hill did just that. I said our bench would get the better of the Suns and for the most part they did. However, Amundson looked like he had the game of his life, Dragic made more shots than I'd ever seen him make before and even Swift contributed a couple of inside baskets.

Our free throws are what killed the Jazz last night and to miss over 10 is just pathetic. Also, Paul Millsap has become the red headed step child of the NBA. I've never seen someone take as many blows as Paul and not get the call.

And finally I shouldn't have mentioned that the Jazz were 6-0 on national television (6-1 now).

My bad..........

A 10-14 pick isn't going to to any good for this team. Missing the playoffs is not a good thing and not something I would want to happen. In other words, I am much more happy that I am a Jazz fan than a Suns fan this year.

Sure playoff experience is good, but with the wrong mentality, is there really any good that will come of it? Lets say we play SA, they'll probably take one in SLC, and we wont take any on their home court, we'll probably be done in 5 or 6 games, what good can come out of this?

Mean while, if we miss the playoffs, our management will get pissed off, as well as Deron, and maybe a few of the other guys, and we can change some things around. What good is a pick in the 20s, when we can have pick in the 10-14, maybe better with some luck. Either way, we are a few pieces and/or years from doing anything, mainly because of our current mentality on the road.
