Who is worse? Marbury or Moore?
More and Marbury have been playing horrible basketball since we signed them. Marbury at least has an excuse for not playing for over a year but what is Mikki`s excuse?
I know, we supposed to be patient but after yesterdays game I need to vent. They were both atrocious!
Marbury is turning the ball over, can`t get to the rim and his shot is completely off. Moore OTOH seems to be the second most softest player in the league after POB. So, he is an upgrade but not by much. He is a horrible defender, can`t rebound and is extremely foul prone.
I have pretty much given up on Moore, because it is clear that he is the worst big on our roster right now. I just hope Powe gets back for the playoffs because we miss his toughness and rebounding. Mikki might be useful for some spot minutes in certain situations when we need a basket and he can spread the floor but he won`t have PJ˙s impact on this team. Luckily this season we don`t need it, IMO, due to development of Davis and Leon.
I do believe Marbury will get it together come playoff time. He has a month to get his legs under him and find his touch. You can see that he has talent he just needs to get into game shape. I expect him to be a solid contributer in the post season but up to now he has pretty much been terrible.
Every time I see them play I try to remember myself that PJ looked really bad in the regular season last year also and we know what happened in the playoffs. So, I am hoping we see the same progress from Marbury, for Moore I just hope he can give us a few minutes here and there but the most important thing is that Powe and Scal return...

Moore is the worst without a doubt. Marbury hasn't played in a year so you have to expect his sucktitude for a while until he gets his game and confidence back. Moore can't use the same excuse. A 7 footer that can't rebound, play defense or block shots?
Hopefully Powe gets healthy before the playoffs and we don't see too much of Moore. Moore's length doesn't seem to give him any advantage whatsoever.

Moore. Marbury hadn't played in 13 months...the guy needs to adjust to the speed of the NBA game. Both Marbury and PJ (last year) at least had solid established careers to let us know they'd be back in shape once they adjusted...Moore is what he's always been...although maybe not this putrid...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Marbury has played the worse so far but has more upside then Moore.
I think both players will look alot better when everyone is healthy.
I think Moore is getting effected more by Garnetts absence then Marbury because defensively Moore is exposed more.
Once Marbury finds his shoot agian, his impact will be greater.

Marbury's excuse is he hadn't played in a game in 13 months. Moore was playing this season before we got him...he is what he is!

No contest, moore is worse. Marbs looks out of sync, and that is to be expected, but he still handles the ball and sees the floor really well. By playoff time hopefully we start to see some chemistry with him on the floor. Moore's just not that good, but he'll improve some when he learns the rotations better and can beat his man to a spot. Plus, as was stated, he will be exposed much less when we're healthy (if he gets off the bench at all).

Mikki moore is the worst forward to play for the celts in sometime. I put him up there in the scal/vealchop class. I know Vealchop has fans here, I just don't undestand it. Mikki Moore isn't even good for 6 fouls. He has no idea how to use them.

Moore was picked up to be the sixth big man behind Perk, KG, Leon, BBD, and Scal. Unfortunately, he's having to fill the third or fourth big man roll. He will and is providing more than POB. He's also still lost on the defense which seems to take a few months to adjust to. Shame that we didn't get Smith.

Same here... I dont know why everyone is so worrired about this team?
Heck they haven't played at full strength for months... yet they treaded water well during that whole time...
Seems everyone who is complaining is spoiled by last years rather sudden success??
Even if they enter as the third seed in the East... I wouldn't bet against them...
Miki Moore will be OK when it all counts....same with Marbury....JMO
For God's sake have some faith!
You all sound like a bunch of nervous nellies... have you got to hang it all on the new guys?... thats sure the way it looks from here!

Moore is useless. Marbs has looked ok. He just needs to stop thinking and play his game. He's being way too tentative. I'm fine with Steph, Moore is just a liability at this point

Marbury is significantly worse. At least Moore scores efficiently. Both are essentially useless defensively. Moore probably worse given how often he fouls.
Moore is better than the alternative which is...I don't know. Play Big Baby 40 minutes a night? Marbury is also better than the alternative of...I don't know. Play Eddie House 30 minutes a night?

Re: Who is worse? Marbury or Moore?
Marbury has been worse. Moore was never a good player (He is not giving the celtics anything POB could not) so I am not surprised one bit that he still not very good.
I was very excited when Marbury came here. I thought for sure he would be the scoring punch the celtics needed off the bench. He is turning the ball over and not shooting well and he should be making some sort of impact by now. Beside the first game against the pacers he has given the celtics absolutely nothing.

How can you have objection to people being critical of bench players we signed to help us win games when the exact opposite has happened. They're playing poorly, and we're still losing.
I understand the goal is to help in the playoffs, but there hasn't been anything to indicate that they can help on a consistent level.
I still think they'll play a nice role for us in the playoffs, but they definitely have been under-par. No question. Big time too.

Me too. POB never got the chance or the minutes that Moore is getting. POB is a lot better rebounder and shot blocker. It was unfair IMO that he never got any minutes. And people can say that you have to earn minutes. I would agree with that, but at the same time Moore doesn't deserve the minutes he is getting.
