Gordon would be tough to sign because of our situation with cap holds. Hinrich I think is a reasonable trade target because Chicago should want to deal his contract bad Speedy's expiring deal should be coveted by them.

Derrick Rose cost them the game again. WOW. Poor rookie.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

We wouldnt bash the punk if every once and a while he had a complete game, without the dumb lapses. Sometimes I think he might be mentally challenged. He just needs to avoid touching the ball on offense, unless its a last option.

Are there a ton of Laker fans there today?

Yes, even more than Friday it seems. But I think a lot of it is the star marketing of the NBA. Until the Hawks earn the media coverage that enables at least one Hawks player to become a recognized star then certain teams are going to have big following when they can to town. You need those casual Hawks fans to show up to take away seats that get snapped up by people wanting to see the visitor.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier. Sometimes it's hard to catch all the posts on my cell phone.

Sorry, I did that 1 quick post at halftime and I was focused on the game the rest of the way. Although there were a lot of Lakers jerseys, sweatsuits, etc. in the crowd, the Hawks fans were clearly louder and the place got pumped when we went on the run and had a few stops. It wasn't quite the same level of crowd intensity as the playoffs last year, but was getting close. It helps to grab a lead instead of falling behind and playing catch up all game. Hawks fans can really get it cranked up to help put an opponent away.

The Kobe shot over Mario in the first half that drew oohs and aahs from the crowd was misleading. I think a lot of that was reaction to a player making a big time shot over tough D moreso than outright Kobe love. That stretch of the game where Mario made him work for every look he got was wonderful. You can't stop Kobe he's too good. You can only hope to force him into taking low percentage shots and expending a lot of energy along the way. I feel the energy expended by Kobe contributed to Mo Evans open looks later in the game.

Good Win by the Hawks
“We played them here, we played them there, we played them with their whole team, we played them without their whole team,” said Crawford of the four meetings. “We match up well with those guys. We definitely respect them, but we don’t fear anybody.”

Is anyone watching this Chicago-Toronto game? What a crazy fourth quarter!

Both teams missed open shots. Atlanta did a good job of doing what Boston did in the playoffs last season in goading Kobe into taking long jumpers instead of consistently moving it to Gasol and letting someone else be the star.

Great game from Zaza. Joe shot too much but no one else was hitting and he made a few nice dishes. Smith had an ugly offensive game but I can live with only 2 TOs when he crashes the boards like that. Al had a bit of a disappearing act there but he'll be ready to go soon enough. It was a good game because we beat a good team in a convincing enough, if ugly, manner.

Gotta love skyhawk and sneakerking who seem to watch the games exclusively to complain about Smith even when Joe goes 4-18 with 4 TOs and Al grabs 5 boards, hits 1 shot, and lets his man walk all over him.

i am singleing out josh a little to much, and i might as well lighten up bc there is nothing i can do to help josh. ill try and equal out the complaining among the team, and try to be more positive, thanks conley

Do what you feel man. I'm not one who thinks that there is some sort of set of rules that you have to subscribe to be a "fan". If skyhawk wants to act like Smith is an adultrous ex that gave him the clap, thats his perogative, I'm just going to occasionally point out the absurdity of it.

^^^^AHHAHAHAH thats funny stuff. It is just so frustratiing whatching smoove sometime, i know u know the feeling. It just hurts bc we all know ways to help smith yet his head never seems to be on straight. Every player has flaws and alot of them, smith just stands out the most, and i decide to pick on him the most. It must be annoying all the preaching I do on smoove, but ill cut it down so everyone can enjoy the board more.

that is EXACTLY the same thing i think the Hawks should do when the Hawks face, Lebron, Wade, and KG!

Don't think its as much of an issue with them. Wade and Bron are better at getting to the basket and are more willing passers and KG isn't ball dominant.

^ exactly, since Lebron and Wade are good at getting to the basket, then why would you let them, and not just play off of them and make them take long jumpshots.

in last year's playoffs, the Hawks let KG take alot of long jump shots all series, and he made alot of them, but it worked out very well for the Hawks.

when it comes Lebron, Wade, and Kobe, you need to apply the Detroit Jordan rules and make them go left, play them off and force them to take jumpshots, and let the Super Stars get 40pts 50pts with just long jumpshots, and don't let the rest of the team beat you.
