No one made that argument at all. At least not in this thread.

Nelson was the Magic's 2nd best player and primary ballhandler. Many would argue that KG is the Celtic's 2nd best player. How is it an absurd comparison? People forget about Nelson's impact because it's been masked somewhat by the acquisition of Alston. The team was completely lost on offense prior to that trade. They went from a .800 team to a .500 team after Jameer's injury. They'd still be competing for the 1st seed had it not happened.

Am I the only one who thinks that Jameer is just above average. What is so great about him, speed, ball handling, decision making I mean what? Please don't say all of these things because it doesn't do any on them exceptionally.

Do you see how well he shot the ball this year?

Ok but still, you're comparing a guy who has had a couple of good pro seasons to a perennial All-Star, NBA champ, and future HOFer...maybe if Jameer had been this good for 8+ seasons I could buy it...I still think it's a silly comparison...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

I was comparing impact (relative to their teams) this season, not individual player skill or longevity. Speaking of which, I forgot to mention that Nelson was also their go-to guy in the 4th quarter. Unlike last season, Hedo disappears in the clutch and they refuse to even acknowledge Howard's existence on offense.

The impact of the loss is based on the fact that Boston will have KG for the playoffs and Orlando has lost Jameer for half a season and for all of the playoffs.

Let's take an extreme example. Would you rather lose Rondo for the season or KG for a game?

Just looked it up. he shot the ball at 50% but did nothing else. Average slightly more assist than turnovers. Got to the line about twice a game. Tell me when I should be excited about his play now. He is a small shooting guard is all he is.
