Great post by Jammer, taking notice of Davis' heady brand of basketball... finally.

But having not watched the entire game, I would certainly have to give it to Pierce based on what I was able to watch. Pierce is so great at this point that his greatness goes completely overlooked. On any given night, and its usually at key moments in key games, Paul Pierce can be as good or better than Lebron, Kobe, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitski, prime Jason Kidd, etc. Now he won't be as consistently good as those guys but as an individual talent there is no question that Pierce's better is just as good or better than anybody else's better.

1) Underappreciation of the greatness of Paul Pierce has been a common theme on this chat forum as well as in the national media for years and years.
2) As Humblebum states above, Paul's "better" is as good as Kobe's, Bron's and DWade's (comparing him only to wings). What you saw last night in the second half was a masterpiece - one of hundreds during this career.
3) Beyond what Humblebum said, he is just as consistent as Kobe and Bron and DWade when he needs to be. You can rank Kobe and Lebron ahead of him all day long and I will not argue with you. However, he is in the SAME MOTHERFRIGGING CONVERSATION and always has been. And remember who outplayed both Lebron and Kobe when it mattered in May and June 2008.
4) And it is beyond moronic to vote for anyone else last night. Absolutely absurd.
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

I am as big a PP honk as there is but this was a 20 point beat down of a bottom feeder, I mean c'mon now, Paul doesn't need to be the key to victory in a JV game.
