Gerald Wallace Article

I couldn't agree anymore with what Bonnell wrote. I thought last season Wallace was somewhat of a ballhog because he would always want to isolate and go one-on-one. The other four players would basically just stand around. I think this is the biggest reason why we had a better record without him than with him last season. We put in Matt Carroll and we got more ball movement leading to Felton's, Okafor's, and Richardson's numbers all going up. And defensively, people viewed him as great because he would make those incredible blocks and pull of those steals leading to highlight dunks, but the majority of the time those gambles resulted in us playing 4 on 5.
He's cutback big time on gambling for steals and now, he moves a lot without the basketball. Always cutting to the rim, which I like to see. His rebounding has gone back to what it was prior to the Sam Vincent experiment, which is great as well. He's been a stud this season and I could see him being an allstar next season.
Also have to agree with what Bonnell wrote in a reply to Felton's shot attempts/percentage:
"Felton is placed in a situation where the ball ends up back in his hands at the end of a shot clock. He was awful Saturday, but don't over-react to that. His teammates don't.
They see Raymond as a stand-up guy who tries too hard, rather than not hard enough, to do the right thing. Often that means he's stuck in a bad place, with the shot-clock expiring, and he does what he can.
This is a team with flaws, and the biggest one is their general inability to score when it matters. Raymond's shooting percentage is more a reflection of that than the cause."

Because that makes sense. A mark of a great player is one who tries to play basketball so that he makes others around him better. Something Crash is doing this season, which obviously helped our resurgence.Dexmor wrote:Well if my teammates were that much less talented then me I would be selfish to.

Re: Gerald Wallace Article
LB challenged Crash at the start of the season. Said he has the ability to be the best rebounding SF in the league. Said that he should be taking a lot of FT's because he should drive more than he was taking long J's.
So far I think that Crash has 100% delivered on what LB has asked of him.
Another summer and season under LB and the sky is the limit for Crash.

Re: Gerald Wallace Article
I hope LB can work more magic in the offseason with Diaw, and maybe even a miracle with Ajinca. Diaw needs some work, on his body and his game. Someone mentioned that he has the chance to refine himself a good bit also. I agree. If Diaw could add some extra strength and hop, refine his shot and some nuances of his offensive game, he and Crash could form a very deadly combo. Combine that with a major threat at the 2, and we'd have a good shot to make the post season.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Right now, the only sf's better than him in rebounding are Lamar Odom and Lebron. And by better I mean have bigger bodies. Wallace has been phenominal this season and hopefully pick right back up next season. Can any injury stop this guy?

I don't know how old you are but I am 28 so stop with the clildesh un called for insults.
Not that Gerald is Kobe but when Kobe was on the lakers and the starting lineup was
Kwame
Odom
Walton
Kobe
Smush
They needed Kobe to score 40 to win. He had to be selfish. Now he has good teammates and is not selfish. If Gerald had better players around him he would pass more. And I love how 1 article can make all the gforce fans turn on him.
When Mek doesn't want anything to do with shooting and Felton is going 3-11 and Diaw is having one of those nights what is he sopposed to do?
He is our best scorer and player. He is not the problem.

Well I wouldn't have considered Crash to be selfish anytime during his career just misguided. He was one of our primary options on offense and thought scoring was the best way to produce more wins (through Vincent). This year, he's learned how to impact the game in other areas and let scoring come and go not forced as much. A good example of a selfish player would be: Allen Iverson, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and for good reason. If Wallace was one of those guys I'd hope he'd be selfish too.

LOL. Who is turning on Wallace?
This post contradicts EVERYTHING you have said about Wallace. And when did I call Wallace selfish? And what does Diaw have to do with this, since I said he was somewhat of a ball hog LAST SEASON?
You should take the time to read someone's post before you go off on a tangent talking about absolute nonsense.
Humble yourself.

All Im saying is it's easy to get selfish with the lack of scorers on your team plus he has never even averaged 20 points. How selfish can he be?
I am not a hsame of a Bobcats fan Im just realistic and know were not that good yet. We don't suck anymore and are not a joke but the Bobcats are not above jokes and I was making a joke.

Re: Gerald Wallace Article
If LB challenged Wallace and he is improving and our most consistant player and he didn't get traded on deadline do you guys think they will keep him? That is the only reason I haven't bought a Wallace jersey and haven't let myself get to attached like with Felts.
