Duncan Thinks Parker is a MVP Candidate

There is one bit of advice for NBA voters Duncan has no fear of asserting: His teammate, Tony Parker, deserves consideration for a place at the end of every ballot, on which voters are required to list their choices in order, one through five.

“Absolutely,” Duncan said. “Of course, I'm biased, obviously. But with the position that we're in, second in the West, right in the mix, and with the amount of injuries we've dealt with all year, he's kept this team consistent, and he's been the consistent one all year long. He should definitely have an opportunity to be in that top five.”

I can't even imagine where we would be without Parker this season he's been huge for us this season and on several occasions he's single handily won games for us. I think he should be considered for MVP but I really don't think he'll win it.

What do you fellas think, should Parker be getting some consideration or should he even be in the discussion at all?

In theory, yeah TD is right. Parker has played very well and been the anchor in keeping us in contention on the west. But realistically, he's only in the discussion to keep things interesting. No way is Parker even close to Bron, Kobe etc. He's never going to win it, which is fine with me.

If we're talking about award contention, I think Pop should be at least in the mix for COY honors. It's criminal how much he is underrated by the media.

I am a Nuggets fan, but I think he should be mentioned in the conversation for MVP this season. I remember when he and Manu were out for the Spurs to start the season. TD couldn't carry the load himself and the Spurs looked like they were going to have a long season. Insert TP and all of a sudden you looked like the Spurs of old. Since then, he has put the Spurs on his back a couple of more times when they were struggling. He won't win it, but he should be a strong consideration for the award. I used to not like him very well, but he has turned into a good person on and off of the court imo. I haven't heard an interview from him this season that I disliked. In fact, he is quite honest in his responses to the questions he gets from the media. I like that.

Because we're all jealous, that's all ^^
Come on, the guy is what 26? he's won everything, 3 rings, 3 allstars selections, a finals mvp trophy, is a superstar in France, has buttloads of money, and oh! ...a beautiful wife.

Ok, where do I sign? I want to be Tony Parker in my next life.
