Trevor Ariza vs Richard Jefferson
Richard Jefferson is Milwaukee's main scorer with Michael Redd sidelined with a torn ACL. He's coming off a 29 point, 10 rebound game against New Jersey. The Bucks have been on a long losing slide before that game, so hopefully their losing ways return. With Kobe playing the "free safety" defensive role, Trevor Ariza will guard most of the wing scorers until the playoffs. He's going to have to limit Richard Jefferson's drives to the basket and not let him get going from three point range. Jefferson has improved his jumper immensely over the past couple seasons, but he's still very streaky.
Keys To A Lakers Win
- Bench Play: The bench has gone on vacation the past couple weeks and we need it to return - soon. It's the last game of this road trip and we need to finish strong. The Lakers haven't lost three games in a row since the Pau Gasol acquisition, so hopefully we continue that trend. Luke has been the one playing decent off the bench. Vujacic has to start knocking down his shots, and I hope Farmar doesn't touch the floor. Notice the "Bench CRAP" above instead of the regular "Bench Mob."
- Efficient Offense: The defensive end of the ball has been good for the majority of the road trip. We slipped up last night, allowing 51 percent, but for right now, that isn't the major concern (when was the last time you heard that?). We need efficient offense, especially from our leader, Kobe Bryant. He has to shoot above 45%+ for a win. If he continues his shooting slump, we have to give the ball inside to Gasol and DRIVE TO THE BASKET. Draw contact, get to the free throw line.
