Its pretty known that the Hornets has an issue with our backup PG, the hornets plays like a lottery team sometimes when CP3 sits down.
I was looking at the 2009 free agents list, and it looks pretty interesting for us. Especially if we're able to pick up one of these following guys to be our backup PG:
Bibby, Kidd, Iverson, or Andre Miller.
I know it seems impossible to think any of these guys would want to come off the bench. But all these guys have something in common, they're all old, on the down fall of their careers, and none of them have a ring yet.
They're all veterans, that would give our 2nd unit a huge boost, and would give cp3 some rest in some games.
I would most prefer Bibby or Kidd. Because they are proven winners. Iverson is sort of a cancer, but he would be a scoring machine off the bench.
Discuss.

Re: Next Years backup PG?
Don;t think the Hornets have an MLE to offer and will certainly be over the cap this summer, so
Antonio Daniels is our backup PG next year, and hes honestly a guy I have faith in.
The Hornets bench as a whole is the problem, not just backup PG. If we had an option to run the offense through from the bench (MAybe Peja if Julian Wright cements a starting role?) then I don't think this is an issue.
Remember: All PG's look dismal next to CP3, and the only ones who don't deserve starting roles.

I don't think Daniels is the problem as much as having 0 firepower off the bench, so even if Daniels is setting up scorers, we don't have any scorers to set up. Posey has his moments for sure, and he's a nice shooter, Wright can finish a lot of plays and gets a lot of hustle buckets, but we need a capable SCORER.

Jamal Crawford and Brandan Wright
for
Julian Wright, Mo Pete, and Antonio Daniel's expiring.
There's your offense when Paul sits, as well as a backup ballhandler . . . and some frontcourt depth beyond Tyson and West.
