Michael Crabtree or Jeremy Maclin

THOSE ARE THE ONLY PLAYERS THAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED BY THE RAIDERS!

One of them will be available (or should be) when our pick rolls along. Crabtree would always be the dream, but Maclin will make an immediate impact as well.

I'm not sold on Maclin if Crabtree is there than we have to grab him if not an OT or Maualuga he'd help our run defense play him in the middle and move Morrison to Strong Side this guy is an insane hitter. If we don't get a WR at no 7 we need to find a way to jump up and grab Harvin or Heyward-Bey the OL and DL all the way

I like Rey Maualuga, but not with our seventh pick. I'm curious to know how many teams are actually wanting to take him high because he's visiting Atlanta this Saturday.

I want Michael Crabtree.

I think the Raiders go for the trenches and take a DL or OL.

One of Andre Smith or Michael Oher should be available and Raji is likely to be available too, so I think one of those 3 ends up in Oakland. I don't think Crabtree will be there and I don't remember the last time Al Davis has taken a WR that high. He seems to like finding mid to late round speedsters.

Jeremy Maclin is scheduled to visit the Raiders on Thursday or Friday

Missouri standout wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is scheduled to visit the Raiders on Thursday or Friday, the team confirmed Tuesday.
Maclin is regarded as one of the top receiver prospects available in this year’s NFL Draft. He is being considered by the Raiders as a first-round selection.
The Raiders select at No. 7 and figure to be in position to draft Maclin, Texas Tech’s Michael Crabtree or from among a handful of other receivers if they opt to go that route in the first round.
Maclin, 6-foot and 198 pounds, shined in his two full seasons at Missouri and placed himself in prime position to be a top-ten pick.
He totaled 2,776 all-purpose yards – receiving and as a kick returner — as a freshman, which set the NCAA Division I-A freshman record and placed fifth-most by any player in any season.
He improved upon that astounding total by notching 2,833 all-purpose yards last season. http://raiderbeat.com/?p=1795

Cleveland taking Mark Sanchez or Michael Crabtree.

News in Cleveland reports that the Browns will take either Mark Sanchez or Michael Crabtree with the No. 5 overall pick in the draft.
Beware the local news report that knows what a team will do, especially one with a typo in their writeup. While Sanchez and Crabtree look like the favorites for Cleveland, we wouldn't put much stock in this report. http://www.woio.com/Global/story.asp?S=10205907

I dont want to take Crabtree.

That said, if hes not there, I am afraid of what panic move we have up our sleeve. Drafting Macklin might be the worst thing we could do... I just want a lineman... or trade our 1st to Zona for Boldin or something...

I highly doubt Cleveland takes Michael Crabtree even if he's available when they pick. If we miss out on him I won't be upset about it because we have plenty of other holes that need to be filled. However, I am not sold on picking Jeremy Maclin with the 7th.

SI's Peter King has heard from "sources he trusts" that the Seahawks will choose between Michael Crabtree and Aaron Curry at No. 4.
Mark Sanchez is also a possibility, but it sounds like Seahawks president Tim Ruskell has had second thoughts about drafting a developmental quarterback.

Vikings shopping 1st rdr #22 since appears the stud OTs will be long gone. Would Raiders package their 2nd (40) and 3rd (71) to move up into the 1st, get the OT at #7 and D-Lineman or WR at 22 ??

The only F.

GRADE: F

• Oakland Raiders: WR Darrius Heyward-Bey seventh? He disappeared for games at a time, is not a well-rounded receiver but boasts the key Raider attribute — straight-line speed. Just a huge reach and not enough value here. Same for S Michael Mitchell, taken in the second round but mostly considered a much later pick, though the Chicago Bears said they liked him two picks after Oakland's. WR Louis Murphy blossomed as a senior, OK pick in fourth. LB Slade Norris nothing special.

We should have done this... then we'd have Eugene Monroe at 7 and still DHB at 22...
