Hmm, I thought we were going to be so bad that we'd struggle to make the playoffs, according to some on here? :-?

Anyway, good for you, celtics_champs, should be fun!

They appear to be sold out now ...

Does anyone know when the playoff strips when on sale - and did anybody land a strip?

I'm asking around on Craigs list how much a strip would be, but I don't want to break the bank... if I spend too much the wife will kill me.

Watch out with Craigs list I heard this can be a very dangerous site with people breaking into peoples houses.

Btw guys game one is either sat the 18th or sun the 19th

Check this out. So I go in on season tickets with 3 other buddies. We had the option to purchase extra playoff strips. Our season seats are pretty good, loge 7 row 8. So they offer us worse tickets on the other side of the arena and they are almost twice as much as what our regular playoff strip was. Such a rip off. I decided not to spend the extra $1200 but I know a few of my boys did. I think the Celtics are trying to milk the season ticket holders for all they are worth. Bullshite.

Edit: Oh and to answer your question Albin. The playoff strip for Loge seats behind the basket on the Celtics side, were nearly $5000. I think we paid about $2800 for our original strip. Probably much less if you get in the balcony.

In the words of Tommy Heinsohn thats Ludicrous!

Last year the Celtics were nice I had a 12 game pack and they offered everyone with a mini pack one round of the playoffs. I chose the finals and they only charged $36 each which was the same price as the tix in the pack. This year they offerered nothing

Damn..! Very high prices.

The last playoff strip I bought was in 2002 ... and the total amount for el cheapo balcony (2 seats) was something like $600 ...

BTW: I have had luck in the past with getting tickets on Craigslist... you just have to do two things :

1. meet only in person, somewhere neutral with a big crowd
2. cash for hard tickets only (and look very closely at the tickets)

I've gotten Celtics tickets, Metallica, Rush concert tickets that way...

Not extra man, I save all year to afford my C's tix. It's my one treat to myself. I sell a bunch of them so I end up doing pretty well. I think this year I had 22 tickets. I sold 10 of them. I think I ended up paying about $250 for 12 games. $20 a ticket isn't bad for $60 face value. The one nice thing the C's did was allow us to spread this year's playoffs and next years seasons cost over the next 12 months. It's was like an interest free loan. I'll give them credit for that one.

^Me, too, and not on tickets! I need to get the household spending down...we're doing OK but we've gone without luxuries or "fun" stuff for a while, although we did go to a C's game this season since my wife's friend and her husband have seasons tickets...

Here's how it worked for those who weren't season ticket holders, for those wondering..

Only season ticket holders were offered full strips. The account execs were given a handful of HALF playoff packs to offer to their clients for purchase. My dad and I are lucky enough to be very close with our account exec and we got one of the half packs. He mentioned he thought there was something else in the works, but nothing definite. We got two seats, section 305 (i think) row 2, isle seats for $1840. But thats only 2 games a round. In case anyone was wondering..
