OT: What if, Cleveland were to lose 5 out of their last 7?
I know, this is a wishful thinking scenario. But, I'll talk about it anyways. Let's say the following happens... The hypothetical losses for Cleveland in bold faced. Boston runs the table and can win out. Both teams finish tied at 63-19. Cleveland would finish with a 38-14 conference record compared to a 42-10 by Boston. Based on my scenario, obviously Boston wins in a tie having won the season series 3-1. Again, wishful thinking on my part. I just feel that nothing has been clinched yet. There's still hope, albeit very unlikely of happening.
I began thinking about this just now when I'd considered the question: Would Celtics fans root for Cleveland to beat Orlando or vise versa? My feeling is that considering that Orlando still poses a threat to Boston for the second seed and Cleveland is out of reach of catching. Then you want the Cavaliers to win tomorrow. But, then I'd decided that I prefer to have Cleveland lose regardless. I also don't want them to tie Boston's 1986 regular season home record. So, that's probably why I'm hoping that San Antonio can pull-off the upset now with a healthy Ginobili.

I think LeBron would be pretty pissed off. Like someone got blood on the bear skin rug. "You blot that **** not rub it in."

The Cavaliers are in a bubble right now, playing out of their minds with their current awesome regular season record (which they have earned deservedly). That's what win streaks do to teams (Houston last year and Celtics twice this year). I wonder how they'd react to their first loss in the playoffs, especially a home loss.
Coming back down to earth should not be a bad thing, but a good test of their mettle. The Maverics can give pointers on this.
Go Celtics!

It will devastate them, methinks...the fact that all but 1 of their losses on the season have been on the road should worry them...
and someone really needs to beat them so they don't tie the '86 Celtics....
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Anything is possible ........!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, but the Cavs are far too good. They'll confirm their #1 seed soon enough.

What if this thread asked a reasonable question?

I know, but what should Rivers do if the impossible happens and the Cavaliers manage to pull a Munson. There's already talk that both Pierce and Ray could sit out a game or two down the stretch.

And this team(Cavs) is supposed to be a contender?
The Cavs get smacked by the WIZARDS then get blown out by the Magics.
The Cavs arent scaring me. 100% Celtics >>>> 100% Cavs.
Glen Davis's improvement and Rondo's Improvement helps make up for losing Posey and P.J

Lakers lost to Bobcats and then the Hawks, does that mean they're not contenders either?
We lost to Bucks and Bulls, and the Clippers a while back too.
Cavs deserve to be favourites out East. But I still think we beat them with a healthy KG.

Exactly. Why would they implode now? If their lead gets down to 3 games or so, they'll almost surely stop tanking and pull it out.

Tanking? How about simply saying that the Cavaliers have lost those games. I doubt Cleveland has become complacent with leading the eastern conference. They aren't underestimating Boston but their fans have to wonder what happened tonight in Orlando. That was a statement by Orlando.

When the Cavs lose b2b games to the Wizards and Magics they're tanking?
Talk about robbing a team of deserved credit. The Wizards and Magics Outplayed the Cavs they did not Tank.

They won't tie the Celtics...Paul Pierce will make sure of that when we go over there next weekend..

Plus that Boston team lost only 1 home game counting the playoffs..CAvs will more likely then not drop 1 or 2 at home in the playoffs...specially if they play us...
