On the NBA FG% stat leaders list? He should be 3rd in the league with 0.587 yet he's nowhere to be found. Strange.
Btw, Perk's the 6th leading shot blocker in the league. Yesterday's game brought him up to exactly 2.0 blocks per game. Impressive.

Re: Stat Question: Why Doesn't Perk Appear...
Perkins is really starting to become a good player and people don't realize it (outside of Boston) because most of his skills are on the defensive end.The man is a Beast and he starting to get a backdown game and showing he can hit the 15 footer, which like Big Baby could really help his game. I hope Perk say here for a while. But to answer your question, I don't know why he's not on the list maybe he has not taken enough shots.

He's coming in just under the minimum required to be considered, as he must be on pace to make 300 field goals in the season. If he scores big in the last handful of games, he might just squeak in.
But he's also #5 in total blocks so far on the season.

Re: Stat Question: Why Doesn't Perk Appear...
Look at my sig.... look AT IT!!! lol. Perk is the offensive lineman of the NBA, he might never get the recognition outside of Boston that he deserves but we know who he is. He is a defensive beast who's offensive contribution's are simply icing on the cake. If there is anyone who deserves to be mentioned alongside the term "intangible" it should be Perk, IMO. For every stupid looking foul he gets off the ball he is contributing countless physical picks, block outs and defensive plays. He is constantly "toeing the line" between physical play and foul play and sometimes it comes back to haunt him, but overall he has become an extremely effective enforcer in the paint. I'll take Perk any day over the more tauted centers in the league, he is a blue collar defensive presence, and effort and defence = championships.
Edit: Yayaya Perk man love rant, back to the op, more field goal attempt needed to be on the list. Long story short, lol.

I love Perk's saying in the paper this morning that he's trying to step up and become the vocal defensive leader while KG is out. You're right, BT, he really is an invaluable player for us.

Re: Stat Question: Why Doesn't Perk Appear...
It's amazing how players like Perk can circle the wagon after playing with guys like KG. Perk may not be able to do what he did last game every game of the year... but when he avoids offensive fouls he typical puts up good defensive numbers.
And when everyone is rotating properly itallows him to recover and challenge the shot attempts. It's great.
Was perk on the list for fg% last year?
